River Front Park with Kevin

We brought Connor's bike to River Front Park for a change of scenery...

and to feed the ducks, which are so social they eat right out of your hand

And no trip to River Front Park would be complete without a ride on the carousel
and a few trips down the big Red Wagon slide

Jason's friend, Kevin met us at the park.  Connor convinced him to take a few trips down the slide too.

Then it was time for some real rides...

The balloon guy was in the park.  He's there most days, usually dressed in a clown suite, but today he was a pirate.

After a fun morning at the park, Connor used Kevin and Jason's arms to swing from on the way to the Olive Garden for lunch.

Easter

I had a nursing appointment Saturday morning, so I missed our local Easter egg hunt at the park.  Jason and Connor had fun though and found a bunch of eggs.  Of course since I wasn't there, that means I have no pictures to share.

 My little Easter bunny
Since I missed out on the Easter Egg hunt... Connor and I went to the Eastern Washington University's Easter Egg celebration.   Connor was thrilled they had two huge blow up bounce castles with obstacles.
They even had an Easter Bunny there to greet the kids

After an hour of jumping and running through the bounce castles, a visit with the Easter Bunny, playing with some of his friends from school that were also there and a mini chocolate cupcake we decided it was time to head home for a nap.  Can you tell from Connor's pouty face that he wasn't thrilled about leaving.

The traditional dying of the Easter eggs
Connor found this Easter basket waiting for him bright and early Easter morning.
wondering down stairs to see his basket... with his favorite stuffed doggy from Aunt Staci and Uncle Tony.  He uses this puppy as a pillow every night and insists on carrying it down stairs to cuddle with it on the couch while he wakes up.
checking out all his goodies... 3 new books, a Tag book, 5 pairs of Spiderman socks, chocolate candy, sucker rings...
and at least a dozen plastic eggs filled with candy and money.  I think he had more fun opening all the eggs to see what was inside than anything else.  He was more excited about the coins to put in his piggy bank than the candy or dollar bills.
His prize candy... a 1 pound chocolate bunny!  Wow!
Apparently the lady bugs like our plant in the backyard.  We found it covered with lady bugs.
