boys in robes

the three of us snuggled in bed in our robes this morning.  I love relaxing mornings with my boys

I attempted to make a 3-D mold of Kaiden's hand just like I did for Connor when he was little.  I waited until Kaiden was asleep and then Jason and I pressed his hand into the mold and Kaiden instantly made a tight fist and we struggled to straighten out his fingers.  When we realized this was a lost cause we tried to switch to his foot print, but he did the same thing and curled his toes up.  As you can see... Kaiden won.  No 3-D hand or foot mold for him.

tooth fairy pillow

Connor recently visited the dentist for a cleaning and his x-rays showed adult teeth starting to push up.  So, before he looses any baby teeth I wanted to make a tooth fairy pillow.  I found a couple designs that I like and Connor picked this one.  I made it out of jean material with white felt for the eyes and teeth and blue button pupils.  Below the teeth is the pocket to put the lost tooth... and for the tooth fairy to put money.  The jean material reminds me of the jean hat my grandma made for me when I was little.

Connor's tooth fairy pillow is hanging on the back of his door waiting to be filled with lost teeth.

Boys in Ties

My little Kaiden dressed for success in a tie.  This last week he has stopped being so conservative with his smiles and now shares grins with us all the time.

My plan was to get some pictures of both boys in ties, but in true Kaiden fashion he changed that plan.  When Connor went down stairs to get dad's help putting on a tie.... Kaiden decided he had enough of the photo session and peed.  Yep, that would be a boy for ya!  He did the same thing when we had his three week pictures taken professionally.  He does great and doesn't pee unless you leave the diaper off for more than about 5-10 minutes.

Kaiden's room

Fly high little Kaiden

I painted the letters the same color as the wall with a red highlight to make them pop off the wall

Super-men

Did you know Super-man and Spider-man are brothers?  It's true!  We have two incredible crime fighters in our family.

Kaiden checking out his saucer for the first time.  He's still a little bit small for this, so Connor loaned us his zebra blanket.

cheetah blanket

Last summer (before I was even pregnant with Kaiden) Connor and I visited the fabric store in search of new material to make him a new blanket out of.  He chose this soft cheetah material with a super soft solid black material for the back.  I put the material in my craft room and forgot about it until just recently when I made his neon green and black zebra car blanket.  He loves his animals!  A year later and he still picks an animal print.

Every morning the 3 of us snuggle together.  If Kaiden and I get up first and I notice Connor starting to stir.. we snuggle in Connor's bed for a few minutes before getting up.  If Connor wakes up first then he cuddles with us in my bed.  Usually Kaiden and I are already awake and snuggling in my bed waiting for Connor anyway.  If it's during the week then Jason is at work already.  If it's on the weekend then Jason and I are laying in bed snuggling with Kaiden already... he joins us in bed around 7:00am when he wakes up for the day.  At any rate, I get to snuggle with these two adorable boys every morning!  Life doesn't get any better than this.  Mornings are my favorite time of day!

We love our little Kaiden

family

Sue and Jon asked if Connor could spend the night in their motor home and camp with them.  Connor loves to camp, so of course he was excited about it.  He stayed 2 nights with them in the motor home.  The first evening we stopped by the camp site to visit for a while.  After we left Connor watched his Wall-e movie and snuggled with Sue in the RV.  The next morning Jason met Jon and Connor at the dock with his boat and the three of them went fishing together.  Connor of course caught more fish than anyone else.  I'm telling you fishing is his calling.  Connor loves to fish and he's incredibly good at it.  The second night he brought his How to Train a Dragon (the original) movie.  These are his two favorite movies right now.  While sitting around the camp fire the second night, Jon asked Connor to sing Happy Birthday to Andrew (his teenage son) while he recorded it on his phone for Andrew.  Connor sang "Happy Birthday Andrew. cha-cha-cha.  Happy Birthday to you. cha-cha-cha. Happy Birthday to Andrew. cha-cha-cha. ohhh la-la. pizza!"  What a creative kid.  Jason and I have watched the video a million times and laugh every time.

While we were at the park Grandma was at lunch with Sue and Lauren.

We took Grandma out to a steak dinner at Wolf Lodge with Sue, Jon and Lauren.  Kaiden is so amazing.  Every time we go out in public he sleeps the entire time.  Incredible!  He falls asleep in the car too.
Grandma slept in Connor's room while she was visiting us.  Connor stayed 2 nights in the motor home and the rest of the time he slept in his sleeping bag on the floor in Kaiden's room.  They were set to leave Tuesday morning and Jason had to work Tuesday... so I wanted to get some last photo's of Jason, Kaiden and his mom.  I wish Connor could have been in the pictures as well, but this was the second night that he camped with Sue and Jon in the motor home.

Sue got one last snuggle with Kaiden before leaving.  We had a great visit and I enjoyed playing nurse for Jeanette and administering her medications.  I wish we lived closer to family and could see them more often.  I miss you guys already!
