BUG award

Connor won the BUG (Bringing up Grades) award at his school!  Way to go big guy!  We are so proud of you.  Jason was in Boise so he missed the award ceremony.  As part of his award he got this mosquito, which he took out of the gel.

Kaden Shaffer's Birthday

Connor got invited to his buddy, Kaden Shaffer's Birthday party at the YMCA.  Kaden is in Connor's class and was also on his basketball team.  Connor and Blake (another basketball teammate). Me, Jason and Kaiden escaping the madness of a room full of energized, wild, crazy little boys.   My wild, crazy, sugar-high kiddo running around having fun with his buddies.  What a great birthday party.. but man was it exhausting!

Connor needs a snack when he gets home from school (before he does his homework).  To make things more fun he gets to request an animal that morning and I attempt to create a picture of that animal out of his snacks.  This makes it more fun and creative for me and he gets excited to race home after Kaiden and I meet him at the bus stop to see what his snack creation looks like today...  Here's a few of his favorites: dragon, snake, angry bird.   Kaiden has recently started eating adult foods too!  It's hard to tell how much he actually swallows and how much he just chews up and spits out because by the time he's done  his arms, bib, floor... everything is covered in food. Connor and Kaiden found some dolls that my grandma Kortus made for me years ago (she passed before the kids were born).  They had fun playing with them.  Kaiden would give his doll a hug and slobbery kiss on the cheek and then proceed to chew on his head.  LOL.   Kaiden is loving trying new foods and testing out his chompers.  I had a hard time getting him to try food at first because he gagged on anything with even slight chunks, but he's over that now.  He's also pulling himself up on the furniture and walking (while holding onto something). 

 

 

 

 

St. Patrick's Day

My handsome Kaiden in his Levi's (Connor didn't want his picture taken).  This clever little guy has figured out that if he pulls the blankets off the couch the stuffed animals that Connor puts on the back of the couch out of his reach also come off the couch...  Connor reluctantly lets him check out his stuffed animals though as long as he doesn't slobber on them. It's rare to see Kaiden with a hat  or shoes on because he rips them off just as fast as I put them on.   Big brother pulled Kaiden across the house on his little car while I made dinner.
