Flying Irish
J joined the Flying Irish Running Club 3 weeks ago. There's 500 members who meet every Thursday at O'Doherty's Irish Pub for a 3 mile run. After the run everyone socializes with a beer at O'Doherty's. J and his racquetball partner from work, Greg ran while Greg's wife, Joanna walked with C and I. This was J and Greg's 3rd run, but our 1st.
This is group shot of all the runners taken last week. Not that you can see him, but J is just to the left of the center.
Finch Arboretum
One of my absolute favorite parks! C and I decided to bring the tripod and have a photo shoot. Unfortunately we picked a bad day for a photo shoot... it was super sunny and way too hot, 92 degree's. So, we only stayed long enough to walk the creek and snap a few pictures along the way. The pictures are not the best quality because of the glaring sun, but we had fun taking them.
C has a toy box full of hand size toys (spiderman, superman, Buzz Lightyear, etc). He always has at least 1 toy with him at all times, including during nap and bedtime. Today he brought his favorite hand size toy, Nemo. You can see his orange Nemo in his hand or lap in the pictures.
After the Finch park we decided to drive around to check out the houses near the Finch. I knew the area, but had never driven around before. We stumbled upon a new park! Whittier park
I told C to make his funniest face ever and this is what I got...

Chevelle concert
On Sunday, Tina asked if I wanted to go to the Chevelle concert with her on Wednesday... since I had no plans I said of course! I love spontaneous! I had never even heard of the band Chevelle until Sunday. As it turns out I really like them.
The concert was at the Knitting Factory. We barely got there early enough to grab a seat in the bar.
Here's Silas on drums. As soon as I got home I grabbed my year book and sure enough it's the same Silas! Just to be sure I did some searching on the Internet too and he posts his home town as Chewelah.
What a great concert! Thanks Tina! I had fun and got introduced to some great new music.
