Misc. June pictures: Jason and I are not always good at celebrating our holidays (our own birthdays, anniversaries, etc). I make a point to celebrate and get things for the boys to make it special for them, but Jason and I are not real sentimental. I have actually made it a priority to change that in the last few years and tried to get things for Jason for special occasion, but he apparently has not decided to do the same. He really missed the point this year too because I didn't get anything for Mother's day, my anniversary or my birthday... as in not even a card. When I mentioned that he didn't even get me a cake for my birthday he pulled a chocolate pudding cup out of the fridge and put 45 plus 3 candles in it. Then him and the boys ate the pudding cups. Not winning any husband of the year awards Jason! Although I'm not really bothered by this either because I think we have commercialized holidays and it's just a waste of money. I don't see the point in spending $6.00 for a card to be read once and thrown away. Or $40.00 on cut roses, which technically are dead when you give them because they have been cut off from their roots... and again look pretty for a few days and then die and get thrown away. I think big commercial stores tell us we "need" to spend money on wasteful trash for every holiday in order to "show" our affection towards one another. I guess Jason and I are strange, because we think differently. I don't need a card or flowers to know he loves me. And we don't need a holiday to have a reason to show each other affection. Love means you think of that person every day and put their needs and wants up with your own. In my eyes the best gifts are the ones that you create and make yourself. The ones you sweat over and spend time getting just right. Any time the boys ask me what I want (for Christmas, my birthday, etc) I always tell them the same thing "a picture YOU draw of our family." And I currently have a couple hand drawn pictures of our family (including the pets) in frames up on our shelves by the fire place. These are my most treasured possessions!!

Jason really wants a shop... so we are extending our 3rd car garage back to the end of our house. We will have a 2 car garage, plus tandem 2 car garage which will serve as his shop and a spot to store the 4-wheelers, motorcycles, bicycles, toys, etc. Connor with his friend Gerald.
