More pictures of Drako. We took the boys to the Northern Quest Casino- Champions of Magic show. The show was about 1 1/2 hours long with 5 magicians. It was fun, but the magic show that Silverwood puts on is way better... and it's free with your admission into Silverwood. Connor wasn't overly impressed, but Kaiden had fun.

Frank and Karen
We invited Frank and Karen over for dinner and games. I made individual chicken pot pies for dinner. Karen and I shared a bottle of Chateau Ste Michelle Sweet Riesling that was sooo good. They brought over Strawberry short cake for desert. We introduced them to the game of Domino's. We all had a great time!
Swim Lessons
Connor spent the first hour working on strokes and the second hour working on saving a drowning victim. They always play games for the last 15 minutes of class. Today they played Chicken fights. Connor and his friend Jaxx (the only other boy in the class) teamed up, but the instructor made them switch partners and he chose the partners for them. Connor had to team up with a girl, which was nice to see since our shy guy would never do this on his own.

Drako Bob
Kaiden has been asking for a lizard for a pet. I did some research and thought a leopard gecko would be the perfect lizard for our family. So, Kaiden and I set off to find one. We went to Petco, Petsmart and Northwest Seed and Pet. All 3 stores had leopard gecko's for sale, but the sales lady at Petsmart and Northwest Seed and Pet both said we really should get a bearded dragon lizard instead of the leopard gecko. The leopard gecko is easy to care for, but doesn't like to really interact with people and is more for display. The bearded dragon lizard is a lot like a cat. They enjoy interacting with people, love kids, like to play with cat toys, like to chase a laser pointer, like going for short walks, have fun personalities, etc. The bearded dragon requires more care- they need 2 types of heat lamps, UVB light, fresh veggies daily, variety of insects, vitamins, attention, etc. But after talking with both of the pet store sales ladies we decided that was definitely the pet we needed. Unfortunately none of the 3 stores had any in stock. They both told us that bearded dragons are the most popular reptile and they sell within minutes. But they suggested we check Craigs list for a breeder in our area. (Props to Petsmart and Northwest Seed and Pet for being honest and not just selling us what they had! Definitely earned our respect!!) So, after several hours Kaiden and I came home empty handed, but excited that we knew what we wanted now. I took their advise and checked Craigs List and to my surprise found a wonderful lady who had a 8 month old male bearded dragon for sale, along with his entire set up- 40 gallon front open tank, 4 food/water bowls, cave, 2 tree climb decorations, 2 heat bulbs, UVB light, vitamins and a 10 gallon tank with an established colony of dubia roaches (his favorite food). She didn't have the time to dedicate to him and was looking for a good home, hopefully with kids. Perfect fit! We brought him home and set him up in Kaiden's room and we are all smitten with him! Kaiden named him Drako, which means dragon. Full name: Drako Bob Charette. I have no idea why he chose "bob" but that's what he wants the middle name to be. LOL. His original name when we got him was Mushu (from the movie Mulan).

Valentines
After ice skating and checking out Boo Radley's crazy store... we had planned on getting some soup at Soulful Soups, but they were closed. We stumbled upon Flat Stick Pub and stopped in there for a bite to eat, a game of duffle board (we've never even heard of this game before) and some mini golf. Turned out to be a super fun restaurant/pub and the food was great too!
