This summer Jason bought tickets for a hotel stay and 2 days at the indoor Triple Play water park in Idaho. This was the perfect time to take a break from working on the wood floors and enjoy some fun at the water park. After we started to lay down the wood floors we discovered the concrete wasn't perfectly level, which meant that Jason removed the wood floors and spent the next 2 weeks pouring and sanding a self leveling cement to get our family room floor exactly perfectly level. I love my perfectionist husband who works extremely hard to get every project done perfectly.
Connor is hilarious. Every picture he draws is of me with a baby in my belly... even the pumpkin he decorated at school is a picture of me with a baby in my tummy. Everywhere we go he tells people (strangers) that his mommy has a baby in her tummy. He's so excited to be a big brother.
When Jason was pouring and leveling the cement in the family room he said the leveling mix felt kinda like oobleck, which is a fun mixture of water and corn starch. It's the strangest thing ever... stuck between a solid and liquid state. Anyway Connor was curious about oobleck and it's been a while since we've played with it.. so I mixed up some for him to play with. Which Jason and I then joined in on the fun.
Our room for the night
Triple Play indoor water park. The first night we got there the boys played in the water, while I watched from the side. I wasn't sure if it would be safe for me to go down the slides being pregnant. The first evening the water was really warm and the room was really steamy, which means my pictures didn't turn out real great. The boys had a blast though.
The boys enjoying the indoor/outdoor hot tub
the wave pool had a water fall and dinosaur display in the back.
there were 4 slides that all looped outside the hotel. Jason went down all the slides. The following day I decided to join the boys and play in the water. I went down 2 of the slides. 1 slide required you to lay on your stomach, which I couldn't do. The other was really twisty and Jason didn't think I would enjoy it. Connor went down the same 2 slides I did (with Jason or I on the 2 person tubes). 1 of the slides went into a toilet bowel that you spun around in before going down the tunnel to the slide.
The kiddy area with slides and things to play on. Connor played around in the kiddy area a little bit, but he spent most of his time either on the big slides with us, the wave pool or in the hot tub (which wasn't really Hot the second day... it felt more like a warm comfortable bath temperature.. which meant that I could actually enjoy some time in the hot tub too!).
Triple Play also has a video game section, which we played some games at after swimming. There is a bowling alley, laser tag, mini golf, bumper cars, climbing wall, restaurant, and more. Lots of fun stuff to do!
The next morning after breakfast we suited up to have more fun at the water park. I don't have a maternity swim suite and since I'm due in April I won't have any use for one after this... so, I had to get creative with the swim suites I do have. I matched up a sports swim top with my skirt type swim bottoms, which I was still able to squeeze my pregnant body into. I decided to wear a tank top over the top though so my belly wouldn't be hanging out.
We had a blast! This was exactly what we needed... a fun, relaxing break from working on our floors!
