November fun

My boys share a morning snuggle

Connor's step cat, Ruby. Ruby actually belongs to our neighbor 2 houses over. She is the sweetest cat and adores Connor. Connor has been begging for a cat forever, but Jason refuses to have a litter box in the house. Ruby is the perfect compromise! She comes over several times a week. We find her sitting on the steps in our backyard outside our slider waiting for Connor. Connor sits on the steps and plays with her... and gives her some kitty treats we bought for her. He can even open the slider and call for her and if she's within ear shot she will come running to him. Connor even wrote a book dedicated to Ruby with pictures and stories about her. Over Christmas we copied some of the pages from his book and took them to Ruby's family with some of the treats we know Ruby likes. Connor loves his step cat and he tells everyone about her.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Unfortunately things didn't work out this year for my entire family to be together on the same day. So, my brother and his family had Thanksgiving at my parents the day prior to Thanksgiving. Me, Jason and the boys had Thanksgiving at my parents house on Thanksgiving day. My mom hasn't hosted a Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner for a while and she wanted to have it at her house this year, but after preparing two full Thanksgiving dinners in a row I don't think she will ask to host again for a while. My dad's long time friend, Steve McBride also joined us for dinner.

Santa

The boys visited Santa Claus. Kaiden did great! Not scared of Santa at all. Since this is the first week that Santa is visiting... there wasn't even a line! We just walked right up and the boys plopped down on his lap. Connor asked for a remote control fish. I'm pretty sure if Kaiden could talk he would have asked for Steak and Lobster. He loves his food!

Afterwards we visited Santa Express and Connor picked out gifts for me, Jason, Kaiden, Grandma, Grandpa and his teacher Miss Haase.

Jason got one of his Christmas gifts a little early...

On 11-20-14 we had our first snow fall. That was also the beginning of my Senior Practicum clinical at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Cardiac/transplant 6S floor.
11-25-14 Kaiden's top left fang finally broke threw his gums.
