our RV

We finally decided on our RV.  We bought this 1999 Fleetwood Storm 32' RV with 52,480 miles.  It has a Ford F550 Super Duty 6.8L V10, 5500 watt generator.  It also has a Murphy bed in the master.  I'm not sure that we will ever have a use for the desk/office set up, but it does give us the space when the bed is up.  We love it.  We're the 4th owners.

Kaiden lost his first tooth

Well, when Kaiden and Connor were playing around about 6 months ago Connor bumped Kaiden's bottom tooth with his head.  It caused Kaiden's tooth to get loose and bleed.  The dentist said to leave it alone and it might tighten back up, but if it fell out that it would be fine... he'll just have a gap for a little while since it's not suppose to fall out until he's 5.  Well, the tooth lasted for 6 months until it finally just got so loose that it came right out.  We were excited to put Kaiden's first tooth in the tooth fairy pillow and hang it on his door, but he decided right before bed that he did NOT want the tooth fairy to take his tooth.  He didn't want a strange fairy in his room when he's sleeping and he didn't want to give her his tooth.  So, we took his tooth out of the pillow and it sat on my dresser for the next several weeks.  I told him it was HIS choice and if he didn't want the tooth fairy to come then we just wouldn't put his tooth in the pillow.  She only comes when there is a tooth in the pillow hanging on the door knob.

RIM

I had to work on Saturday, but Jason and the boys did the family RIM ride on Saturday evening.  The boys rode a little over a mile and earned their medallion.  They were so excited to get their first race medallion!  Kaiden was especially excited and showed everyone his metal.  Connor wasn't feeling good and they almost skipped the ride, but he decided to do the race and then nap afterwords.  Sunday Jason and I did the RIM ride.  I signed up for the 25 mile ride, but Johannah asked me to do the 15 mile ride with her... so that's what I did.  She was actually late getting to the race so I started without her and she joined in once she got there (I met her on my loop back) so she ended up doing closer to a 10 mile ride.  I did the 15 mile ride.  Jason signed up for the 100 mile ride, but only rode for 65ish miles.

Landry, RV

play date with Landry- Kaiden's best friend that lives on our block.  These two are so much alike.

Searching for our RV.  We've spent the last few weeks searching and checking out RV's.  After our family had so much fun tent camping this summer we decided an RV would be a fun addition to our family.  This would allow us to camp comfortably in all weather and conditions!  Plus it would allow us to take some fun road trips- another thing our family enjoys doing.  Jason and I don't care for hotels- no matter how nice the hotel is it's still gross to think how many people have slept in the bed and trampled through the room.  We're looking forward to finding our RV/ traveling private hotel!  Where WE are the only one's sleeping in the bed, have a full kitchen with a stove and oven to cook real meals and not rely on fast food junk and we get the comforts of home.  We checked out "As Is RV" in Idaho.  The owner, Bill is fantastic!  He's not a sales man at all.  Totally honest, tons of information... great guy!  Since we're new to this RV thing he gave us tons of tip, tricks, what to avoid, what to look for.  He even gave us his card and said if we didn't buy from him to call before we did buy so he could tell us if there were any known issues with the one we were going to buy and he could tell us a bit about the model.  I highly recommend Bill for an RV!  Anyway after seeing what was on his lot, getting a bunch of info from him we went out to check out private deals for another week+ and in the end we came back to buy our RV from Bill.

Spokefest

Jason and I did Spokefest together this year.  It was a 21 mile bike ride.  Afterwords we came home and Kaiden worked on riding his big bike and Jason worked on his nap.

missing teeth

Connor has a shipment... a "Kaiden in a box."  Almost like a Jack in the box.  LOL

Piper is finally loosing her razor sharp baby teeth.  She lost her 2 front teeth.  The following day she lost 2 bottom teeth and the next day she lost 2 more bottom teeth.  Connor also lost a bottom tooth.  I came home from work to find Connor's tooth in his tooth pocket hanging from his door knob with a note to the tooth fairy and a baggy on the counter with one of Piper's teeth.  The tooth fairy answered Connor's note and left him almost $6.  I've been putting peanut butter in Piper's kong and filling it with water to freeze it.  She loves her frozen pop sickle kong and it helps her gums.  Her adult teeth grow in so fast!  It only took a few days after she lost her front baby teeth before her adult teeth were filling the spots. Kaiden has just recently started riding his big bike.  He's wanted to ride it for a while now and he's ready, but he was just too short to reach the peddles before.
