random May

Kaiden is so excited that his hair is finally long enough to fit in a pony tail.  Silly boy.  He says he wants his hair to be just like mine.  Mama's boy!

Projects

some of my latest quarantine wood-working projects: pencil holders, boys painted rocks and we hid them around our neighborhood (other families are doing the same and it's a treasure hunt), our partially finished buffet table with built in mini fridge with 2 beer taps, plant stands, and we used the boys large Lego's to build bird feeders and a bird house.

Nerf Wars

Another Covid19 quarantine hobby... Nerf Wars!  We started having family Nerf Battles.  Usually it's Kaiden and Jason vs Connor and me.  Although sometimes its all 3 of us vs Jason.  Our only rule: Everyone must wear eye protection and NO aiming for the face.  Our new bench turned into a storage for our 500 Nerf bullets (and guns).  Plus it makes for a good coverage to hide behind.

Beer

Another fun quarantine project...
Our friend, Paul brews his own beer.  I thought this would be a fun hobby for Jason and I was going to buy him a kit to get him started for Christmas, but Jason wasn't sure he wanted to get involved with brewing his own beer and told me no.  Well, 5 months later he changed his mind.  So, he bought all the supplies and we built a buffet table for the dinning room.  We have 1 mini fridge on one side with 2 taps.  The plan is to have 2 different beers on tap in the mini fridge at a time.  The other side of the buffet table will have a second mini fridge for the boys- milk, gaterades, waters.  Connor drinks a gallon of milk in 2-3 days!

RV update

Jason hated the weathered outside of our RV, so he bought some vinyl wrap and we updated the outside.  Originally we had planned on doing half silver and half black.  Once we got part of the silver on though we realized it was almost transparent and we hated it.  It worked great for the lower basement doors, but not for the sides.  We had to remove it and put black on instead.  This was not a fun project.
