We just hung out at home for New Years Eve... the boys played with their new Lego's and Minecraft. Jason and I went Costco shopping. We had crab stuffed salmon for dinner. The boys had hot cocoa with whip cream, sprinkles and chocolate spoons. Then ended the night watching the new Boba Fett (Star Wars) movie together.
Cowley Park lit up with lights. This is the park that boarders the North side of Sacred Heart Hospital (where I worked on the Cardiac Transplant unit for 6 years) and the East side of the Heart Institute (where I currently work).
We flew home on 12-26. Several flights were canceled, but we got lucky. Our flight changed 4 times and left 2.5 hours later than originally planned, but we made it home! We only took carry on luggage for our flight, so we left all but 1 present at home for the boys. They were excited to get home and finally open presents. We left a note for Santa to leave their presents a our house. Piper was excited too and some how knew which presents were hers... she snuck her presents out of the pile and took them to her bed to open, but only her presents. Jason loved his chocolate Coal. Connor had been telling him he bought him coal for Christmas and he really did. Kaiden gave Jason a special tape measure, me a heart jewel and Connor a tic-tac-toe game. Connor also had a bunch of presents for his little brother.
The boys playing Minecraft and watching Minecraft video's. We tested out Grandpa's Ladder Toss game he just finished building. Connor loved it. Connor and I tied for the best players in every match. Then we played Corn Hole in the garage. Another game that Grandpa built in the last few days. Jason even squeezed in a nap.
We spent Christmas Eve just hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's house. We went for a long walk around Bullhead City and Grandpa made Prime Rib for dinner.
