Game Night

Saturday morning was Kaiden's first flag football game. Go Panther's! We have 6 players (one of which is Isaiah, Landry's 5 year old brother). The team is actually 7/8 year olds, but originally we only had 3 players and you need 5 in order to make a team... so Isaiah is playing up. We won the first game 5 to 3... with our 6 players vs their 12 players!  Saturday night the Morris's came over for game night.  I think this was our 4th Saturday game night in a row. They brought over grilled chicken, baked potatoes, salad and pina colada drinks. (Tim doesn't usually drink but I think he's hooked on the Pina coladas). I made artichoke dip and fresh chocolate chip cookies again (Tim is addicted to my cookies). We played Catch Phrase, Scattergories and Uno attack. I was on fire. I won 5 out of 7 of the Uno games. The boys all played down stairs and then at the end showed us a choreographed dance they created. Kaiden spent the night at their house. Jason and I stayed up and watched the first Austin Powers movie. Rachel is having an Austin Powers themed Halloween party this year so we need to figure out costumes. Last picture is Kaiden's new 4-wheeler. It's actually almost the exact same 4-wheeler he already has. Only Jason bought this from someone who ran it without oil and damaged the motor. He was able to fix most of it. It's 1 year newer than his other 4-wheeler, has better tires and goes faster than his other 4-wheeler. Jason likes to tinker and work on projects like this. Keeps him busy and Kaiden loves it.

Cross Country and Flag Football

Rachel, Channing and I stopped for drinks at the Trail Breaker Cider bar after work. Channing and I both got a sample tray with 5 different ciders. They were sooo good! Connor had his first Cross Country meet. He did great! Piper got stung by a bee/wasp. Jason is helping Tim coach Kaiden and Landry's flag football team.

Moses Lake Sand Dunes

We took the 4-wheelers to the Moses Lake Sand Dunes with 3,000 acres to ride on.  Kaiden was in heaven. Him and Jason rode all over the place. We also brought Connor's motorcycle, but it didn't handle well in the sand. Connor and I also rode around a bit. Then Jason and Connor rode. Fun day.  There were tons of people there, but since it's such a huge place it's easy to space out so your not close to anyone else. We stayed out longer than we had anticipated and didn't get home until after dark. Jason insisted on putting the trailer behind our fence (despite me telling him it was a horrible idea to do in the dark). I kept telling him something was going to get damaged (either our fence/house or a person). Sure enough... it was me. Jason and Connor were on either side pushing the trailer, while I was in the middle pushing the dolly that the trailer was hooked to. It actually rolled across the grass pretty easy but we have some bricks buried separating the grass from the hard ground/concrete in the backyard and when the dolly tires hit the lip of the bricks (we were traveling pretty fast too) it catapulted me straight towards the front of the trailer. Both my knees slammed into the ground. I must have reached out to stop myself because my left hand has a puncture almost in the palm and my middle finger is scraped up. I smacked right under my left clavicle and got an abrasion and huge swollen lump. And I have bruises on the back of both my arms. Not fun. My knees actually worried me the most. The entire knee cap on both sides is just a huge swollen bruise with a scrape on the right knee cap. I was worried I might have broken or damaged something. I iced everything after I cleaned up. Had to take ibuprofen for a few days to get the swelling down. But it's all good now.

Spokane Fair

We haven't gone to the Spokane Fair for several years now. We checked out all the animals, crafts, booths. Saw the Pig races and Flying Fools High Dive show. Connor tried a strawberry funnel cake. Kaiden did the Mutton Bustin'.  We had fun.  Then a few days later Kaiden went back a second time with his best buddies- Landry and Isaiah.
