Halloween

 Connor decided to go out trick or treating with his friend, Mason. Then they walked over to Rachel's house, but her dad answered the door and scared them (Connor has never met her dad before) so they just said Trick or Treat and walked back home. LOL  The Morris's were going to come over for dinner, but Alex's sister came over to her house to take her little guy Trick or Treating. So, we met up with them after dinner and all went out together.  Kaiden, Landry, Isaiah, Tristan, Remington, the 6 parents and baby River. It was a little chilly, but actually not too bad. The kids walked the entire neighborhood. Then we came home and the Morris boys came over for some Halloween Eyeball hot chocolate bombs to warm up. They also had fun handing out candy and playing with the scarecrow. Connor- Huffle Puff house (Harry Potter), Mason- Ninja from video game, Kaiden- Mandalorian, Landry- DJ, Isaiah- Miami Dolphins player, Tristan- Buzz Lightyear.

Rachel's Halloween Party

 Rachel from my work invited us to her yearly Halloween party. The theme was Austin Powers. Jason dressed up as Mustafa, I was Frau Farbissina, Channing was Fat Bastard, Rachel was Foxy Cleopatra, her husband Cory was a Fembot.  They had 200 jello shots- the green carmel apple was the best. Table full of snacks- I brought our artichoke dip with chips. Channing brought her amazing guacamole dip. There was beer pong set up down stairs and also in the garage. Every room was playing a different Austin Powers movie. We voted for the best costume- Austin Powers won. She had a huge jello shot out of a syringe. I think there was about 30 people there! Everyone had a ton of fun. Party started at 7pm and we left at 10:30.

Games

 So, I recently bought a bunch of new games. We love to play board games! It's a great way to spend family time laughing. Kaiden is absolutely addicted to Exploding Kittens. Kaiden's Saturday flag football game got canceled and rescheduled for Thursday night at 6:00pm.  The first 30 minutes were fine, except for it's 45 degrees outside so it's freezing cold. The city unlocked the light box and told us how to turn the stadium lights on, which worked great for the next 15 minutes (the lights are on a 4 hour timer), but then they tripped the breaker or something because after 15 minutes the lights all went out and it was pitch black outside. We tried to light the field up with car lights, but it was too dark and cold so the game got called off. Another family game night to satisfy Kaiden's Exploding Kittens addiction. Then Kaiden's last flag football game, which was amazing!  All the kids did so good! Sad to see the season come to an end. Halloween cards from Grandma and Grandpa in Arizona.

Pumpkin carving

 Kaiden enjoying one of his eyeball hot cocoa bombs. The boys and I carving pumpkins. Kaiden made a vampire pumpkin. After he carved it out mostly on his own with just a little help from Jason he painted on the blood around the mouth and dark "hair" above the eyes. Connor and I thought it looked more like a man with a red beard and unibrow than a vampire. We thought the cut out circle/ovals under his eyes were cheeks, but it's actually tears. Connor attempted to make Harry Potter glasses with a lightning bolt on each side, but he accidentally cut all the way threw on the glasses and it looked more like Baymax than Harry Potter. Both turned out super cute though. Mine was simple this year... Jack Skellington.
