"Medical Lake's goin' Whoville! Oh the things you can do." They had a petting zoo, Santa workshop- where Kaiden built a wooden sled (Connor opted not to participate and to just watch), cookie decorating, shopping, hot cocoa... later in the day there will be a tree lighting ceremony too, but it was cold and windy, so we opted to go home and get warm.
Jason and the boys met me downtown after work Friday. We visited Santa. This is the first year that Connor said he was too old and didn't want to sit on Santa's lap. Kaiden asked Santa for Lego Minecraft villages. Afterwards we went to Santa Express so Kaiden could shop for Christmas presents. Again, Connor decided he was too old and passed on this. We were going to have dinner at Red Robin across the street, but Jason suggested we try out the new Cosmic Cowboy Grill. OMG it was delicious! Kaiden enjoyed his sucker from Santa after dinner... with his mask on. This kid is so funny. Then we waited in line for an hour for the Manito Drive thru Christmas light display. The boys had fun laughing and playing in the backseat though so the time went by fast. Then it was home for a short movie before bed.
Connor and I crushed Jason and Kaiden at 2 games of battleship! Then we played a few games of jenga.
Instead of making gingerbread houses I bought the boys a Ninja gingerbread cookie kit. Kaiden and I made the cookies and then we all decorated them. Top left- Krista's, bottom left- Jason's, top right- Connor's, bottom right- Kaiden's. I made glasses for one of Jason's cookies, a bow tie for one of mine and a sword/stick for one of Kaiden's.
