Soccer

 Last soccer practice- Dad's vs kids.  And last soccer game- they went undefeated this season! Pizza party and awards.

Connor's Lions Club Award

 Connor got nominated by 3 of his teachers for the Lion's Club Award!  This was a huge honor!  The award was handed out at the high school by one of his teachers.  Connor was appreciative of the award, but not thrilled he had to go on stage in front of an audience to receive the award.  He's still very shy and does not  like to be the center of attention.

Backyard remodel

 We decided to do some updating to the backyard... We tore down the kennel area- which will become a 4th car garage/shop for Jason. We built a 2' tall raised steel garden bed and tore down my old garden beds. We tore down our 1/2 circle fire pit and moved it to the corner of our yard and built a full size fire pit, which will have our current patio pavers around it. We tore down the flower bed in front of our living room windows- we're going to have a cement patio the length of our house with a permanent pergola attached to the house. And we tore out some of our over-grown bushes to replace. Lots of yard changes going on right now. The boys have been amazing at helping out, especially Connor!

Mother's Day

 Grandma and Grandpa came down to watch Kaiden's soccer game. He scored the first goal! So far their team is 4 wins, zero losses. Afterwards we went to Chaps for a Mother's day brunch. Horrible idea! Chaps used to be one of the best breakfast restaurants in Spokane. We loved them. They were actually rated as one of the top 5 restaurants in Spokane recently too. They have a horrible system where you stand in line to order and pay for your meal before you sit down. Not a smart idea when you have elderly coming to celebrate Mother's day. We stood in line for over an hour! They automatically add an 18% tip into your bill- for what service I have no idea since nobody comes by your table after they bring you your meal... which we had to wait another hour for. The food used to be excellent, but this time it was not. Jason had some biscuits and gravy- the gravy was horrible! It taste like some odd rosemary and flour gravy. The menu choices are limited. Connor had an omelette that only had egg, cheese and cubed up ham. My veggie omelette had a few cherry tomatoes and olives. Kaiden's waffle was half the size they used to serve. We had a 1 hour wait in line, 1 hour wait for food to be made and 30 minutes of eating... 2 1/2 hours for our brunch that cost us $170. Not worth it! Never going back again. For Mother's day Kaiden drew me a picture of our family on a card (he originally drew the picture on the left side of the card, but then his teacher had him glue a blue piece of paper on the left, so he had to redraw the picture on the right side... I tore the blue paper off so I could see both pictures though). He also gave me a key chain with his school picture and a heart he drew on it. Connor drew me a picture of our family too (that's what I ask the boys for when they ask what I want... a hand drawn picture of our family).

Connor got his Invisalign put on.  I went out to lunch with Channing.
