Kaiden's birthday

After bowling (which was about an hour) we opened gifts.  Then it was laser tag in their 3600 square foot 2 level fog filled laser tag arena with black lights.  Alex, Isaiah, Grandma, Grandpa and I skipped the laser tag, but Tim, Raheem, Landry, John, Laura, Ryan, Jason, Connor and Kaiden all did it.  I took a few pictures outside the window.

After laser tag John had to leave for work.  Alex, Tim, Landry and Raheem had to leave too.  But Grandpa, Grandma, Ryan, Jason, Connor, Kaiden and I all played 9 holes of indoor black light mini golf.  Laura didn't want to play so she watched from the side lines. We had a blast.

After mini golf Connor and Ryan set out to try the 32 foot, 3 level rope course.  Kaiden didn't want to do it.  I'm surprised Connor wanted to try it.  He's scared of heights and didn't like it the last time he tried.  Ryan and Connor made it to the very top course but Connor only went across 1 beam before he called it quits and came back down.  Laura and Ryan had to leave.  Then Kaiden decided he wanted to try the rope course.  He's only allowed on the lower level of the course, but he did amazing.  He's done the course once before and enjoyed it then too.  He was in there climbing around forever.  At first Jason had to help maneuver his harness strap when he switched beams, but he quickly figured out how to maneuver it himself and then Jason couldn't keep up with him.  Kaiden loved it.

We finally left after 3 1/2 hours of fun.  We were having so much fun moving from one attraction to the next that we never took time out to enjoy his cupcakes.  So, the boys each had one on the way home.  Then Kaiden crashed out as soon as we got home.  What a fun, action packed birthday party!

Kaiden's 5th birthday party

For Kaiden's birthday this year we decided to celebrate at Triple Play in Hayden.  It was Grandma, Grandpa, Jason, me, Connor, Kaiden, my brother John, Laura, Ryan, Kaiden's best friend Landry, his big brother (Connor's good friend) Raheem, his parents Alex, Tim and his baby brother Isaiah.  We had so much fun!  I love how it was a small group with mainly family and we got a chance to play together.  We started off with bowling, which was Kaiden's first time bowling.  We paid for 2 lanes- 1 for the kids and 1 for the adults.  We all had a blast!  Tim had to walk around a bit with Isaiah to keep him entertained... he's still pretty little.  For his theme he picked the Paw Patrol again this year.  We decided to go with cupcakes since they are easier to eat and require less dishes.  Kaiden wanted all of the cupcakes to have green whipped frosting with rainbow sprinkles and a Paw Patrol ring.  6 vanilla, 6 chocolate.
