Christmas with the Charette's

Lil' C's favorite spot. Every morning he has to run to his window to see if we got more snow over night.The night before we left to go see the Charette's for Christmas, Santa did his yearly pre-Christmas visit to our neighborhood. Every year he rides through our neighborhood on the top of a fire truck and waves to the kiddo's. He's checking to make sure they've all been good girls and boys. Lucky for us Lil' C has been an angel all year long!

Watching the planes come in at the air port. Lil' C did great on his 1st ever plane ride. He got a little bit grumpy as we decended, but then he was fine.

We had a lot of fun visiting Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Sue, Aunt Frann, Aunt Stephani, Uncle Mark, cousins: Lauren, Cameron, Justin, Kevin, Brianna, and Taylor. This is Cameron with his mini me. =)

Christmas day was at Aunt Stephani and Uncle Marks house. Of course my little guy had to give their doggy some love. He loves the animals. He had 4 doggies at Aunt Sue's house he got to love all over.

Aunt Stephani and Uncle Mark gave him this book with a stuffed monkey. I guess he thought the monkey was a little scary because he crammed wrapping paper in to cover the monkey. He sure loves the book though. We've already read it several times.

We spent some time at Grandma and Grandpa's house. They have a cat so you know where Lil' C was the entire time.

We also made it up to visit one of J's good friends, Lee. His daughter Faith is 6 and such a sweet little girl.

The trip home was pretty good. There was a little girl the same age sitting behind us on the plane. They both slept the entire trip home and only woke up for the last 10 minutes... they were both grumpy for the last 10 minute while their ears popped. And then my little guy threw up. Good thing it was the end of our trip and not the beginning! We had a quick 10 minute drive home and stripped all our clothes off for bath time. We relaxed all day Monday. It was great to see family, but it's sooo nice to be home! Sleeping in our own beds and back to a normal routine.

December catch up

What have we been up to? Well, we went to the Valley mall and got Santa pictures... We were thinking all Santa's are pretty much the same... Wrong! I'm sure he was a wonderful, sweet man, but this Santa looked a little too rough for our taste. I posted the picture below. Li'l C did great though... No smiles, but no tears either so we counted this as a success. After pictures we headed to the little kid place center. OMG he had so much fun running around and playing. J and I had to take turns running around with him. Then it was off to finish up our Christmas shopping.
Then we drove around and looked at some Christmas lights.
And finally we ended the day with some dinner at Applebee's. Li'l C is playing his favorite barnyard game on J's phone while we waited for our dinner.
Last week J was in Texas and Missouri. He got to enjoy some warm weather while we got snow. It all melted before he got home though and we're having some warmer than normal weather now. 40's! (First Santa pictures, AKA Scary Santa)
This last weekend we headed to the River Park Square mall to get our second Santa pictures. Much better! This is the Santa I think of... warm, cuddly, Grandpa type Santa! After pictures we played in a toy store there and let Li'l C pick out a toy... of course he picked the real looking cell phone that makes noise. Then we were off to the book store for more fun.
Li'l C helped me wrap some of the presents this year... until we finished a couple rolls of wrapping paper and he discovered there were fun cardboard tubes inside. Then he was off to conquer the playroom with his cardboard swords! LOL

more hugs =) Li'l C loves his cousin Ryan. I think Ryan likes him too cause he sure watches his every move.
