Family photo. We only went trick or treating to a few houses on our block. It was pretty windy all day so we opted to keep our little dragon inside. Our next door neighbors, Jon and Vicki invited us over. Their grandson, Max was visiting with his mom, Wei Wei. Connor is 3 months younger than Max. Their so cute together and Max is such a sweetie!
The little leopard and dragon checking out their glow rings.
The boys helping hand out candy... or maybe their protecting Vicki from the ghosts and goblins?!? =)
Jon and Vicki gave us some Bat Droppings... and I have to say this is some GOOD candy! The empty box says it all =) Thanks Jon and Vicki!
After playing with Max we headed to the school for their Halloween carnival. Connor had fun playing some games.
Then it was home to play with his puppies.
And hand out candy with Dad. Last year we counted over 200 trick or treaters! This year I bought tons of candy and we weren't home for most of the trick or treaters...
My little dragon playing in our candy bowl. He's not familiar with candy yet, but he likes the crinkly wrappers. And then all too soon it was bed time. Mom and dad got to relax for the rest of the evening and watch movies- Batman and Oceans 11. We hope you all had a wonderful Halloween too!

we've been "booed"
We got our first snow fall of the season today! Just enough to leave a thin layer of white powder on the ground, which it's since all melted away. Hopefully the news is right and we get a mild winter this year. I'm not hopeful though since we're already seeing snow this early in the year.
Last night our house got 'booed'. The door bell rang and when I opened the door a cute Halloween basket was sitting there filled with all sorts of fun toys and candy! The note attached says- You've been Booed! The air is cool, it's time for fall. Soon Halloween will come to all. Ghosts and goblins, spooks galore, Tricky witches at your door. The spooks are after things to do, In fact a spook brought this to you! The treats that came with this short note are your to keep, enjoy them both. The excitement comes when friends like you, will copy it & make it two. We'll all have smiles upon our faces, no one will know who Booed our places! Just be sure that you don't tell, keep it secret, hide it well. Please join the fun, the seasons here. Just spread these "boo's" & Halloween cheer.
So, today Connor and I went shopping to make 2 more Boo baskets to surprise more people. I love our neighborhood! What an adorable, sweet surprise! I still don't know who "booed" us, but Connor sure loves the book and game we found inside. Jason must have liked the candy too, since it's gone already.
flu season
It's flu season! Connor and I caught it last week. He's completely fine now, but I still have a lingering cough that just won't seem to go away. We went for a walk around Finch Park with the Trantum this last weekend. It was a great day to get outside. There was a wedding party there taking pictures, along with a bunch of photographers taking senior pictures. Finch is beautiful park for pictures. Jason lucked out. He was in South Dakota last week, so he missed our flu bug. He got to check out the drive through zoo there. Sounds like it's a pretty neat place.
Ryan came over for a visit. He had the flu bug the same time Connor and I did. Poor little guy. He's rolling over now and sure likes to suck on his hands.
This was just so cute. Ryan loves to swing and Connor was having so much fun pushing the swing for him. Connor's such a good cousin. He's so gentle and nice to little Ryan. =)
Cuddle time with my boys! Every time Ryan comes over to visit I have to get in some snuggle time with him and Connor gets a little bit jealous. So, I end up with two adorable little boys to snuggle with!
Two pea's in a pod! Chloe's such a good dog. She puts up with Connor crawling all over her, sitting on her back (as he is in this picture), playing with her ears/tail/anything he can get ahold of, and of course all the bear hugs. Their best buds.

Pumpkin carving
Dad carving out his pumpkin while Connor watches curiously The finished pumpkins! Dad's is the spider holding the pumpkin, Mom's is the goofy smiley face and Connor's is the mini pumpkin with blood shot eyes (he must have missed his nap... LOL)
Knapp's Pumpkin Farm
Saturday morning we went out to breakfast at the Old European and then headed up to the Knapp's Pumpkin farm in Green Bluff. Green Bluff is just North of Spokane and they have 38 farms. They grow all kinds of fruit and veggies you can pick. Several of the farms have kids activities too. I'm sure we'll spend more time up there next summer when Connor's old enough to run around and pick his own goodies.whoo hooo! Pumpkins as far as the eye can see!
All kinds of funny looking pumpkins!
We thought Papa would like this picture of Connor on an old time tractor. =)
feeding the mini horses... just Connor's size!
the mountain goats.
This is the pumpkin cannon (probably Jason's favorite part of this farm)
shooting a pumpkin into the air... we missed the pumpkin in the picture but you can see all the straw shooting out. They shove straw in the cannon before the pumpkin to get a good fit. We skipped the corn maze this year since Connor was past his nap time and his little eyes were getting sleepy.
We had to make a stop on the way home though to get him some Sea Hawk gear for tomorrow... Boy's Sunday Football!

Brrr
Testing out Connor's Halloween costume for this year. He's going to be a dragon! I need to find him some green sweat pants though... the blue pj's just don't work. LOLGoing for a family walk. The temperature sure dropped fast here. It's cold outside! We're in the 40-50's. Connor stayed nice and toasty though... thanks to the snow bibs Grandma K got him! And the multiple layers mom put on him.
Playing with his V-tech game system with dad
I think we skipped over Fall and went straight to Winter. Brrr! The news said the temperatures we're having right now we don't typically see until December. I went shopping and bought Connor a nice warm winter jacket and some snow boots, which I'm sure the snow isn't too far off if these temperatures stick around. Grandma K bought him the snow bibs. Daddy bought him some mittons, but they aren't as thick and warm as I'd like and I'm having trouble finding him some that are small enough. Not that he'll be using them much, but I want him to explore the snow this year! I also stocked him up on sweaters, sweatshirts and warm lined pants. I'm not looking forward to the snow, but when it comes... we're ready!

Ryan visits
We watched Ryan (my brother's little boy) Saturday evening! He's 4 months old now.he liked Connor's bouncy swing. All these toys to check out!
Me and my favorite two little boys! I just adore these little guys. The cutest, sweetest little men!
In continuing with spoiling daddy- dinner was Lasagna, followed by warm chocolate browning topped with Devil's food chocolate pudding. Yum!

Daddy's home
Daddy's home! We surprised him with a yummy omelette, toast and I stopped by his favorite coffee stand before he woke up to get us both a nice hot mocha. Plus last night Connor and I made him some brownies with chocolate pudding. Welcome home daddy!
my munchkin in one of his toy bins
This picture cracks me up! He looks so much like Grandpa Jon here with his red flannel shirt, hair sticking up in random spots, hand on his hip and that expression. The basement is Connor's play room, as you can tell from his toys spread all over the place.

Sunset park
Sippy cup- check, travel buddies- check. Loaded up and ready to roll. To the park we go!Sunset Park in Airway Heights. Oddly enough this park doesn't show up on any maps?!? Yet they have a full size basketball court, volleyball court, 2 baseball fields, 2 soccer fields, 2 play grounds (1 for little kids, 1 for bigger kids), skateboard ramp area, public restrooms, BBQ area's and tons of paved walking trails. It's a beautiful little park!
We almost had the entire park to ourselves too. An older gentleman from India was there with his granddaughter. Connor couldn't keep his eyes off the cute little 2 year old girl. I had a wonderful talk with the Grandpa while the kids were swinging. India sounds like a nice little place... little too hot for me though. Although I may change my mind if this winter is anything like the last 2 have been.
