My boys

Dad's home! He was in South Dakota for the last 2 weeks. We're glad to have him home.

The boys made some triple chocolate brownies. Yum!
Our big helper! C is such a good helper now. He's the mini chef in this house. He's also a great housekeeper. I don't even need a vacuum with him around.. he'll find any tiny piece of lint and go throw it in the trash. He loves to help out.
Play dough time! I made some red play dough this time to go with the blue, but it turned out a little on the pink side. But the boys didn't mind.
It was so nice outside we took the dogs for a walk. Nala is the perfect size for C to walk and he thought it was pretty fun walking her on his own.
our little carrot eaters. We give our dogs carrots as "treats." They love them and it's way healthier than sugary dog treats. My cousin gives her dog ice cubes as treats. Talk about a healthy treat! =)

Play Dough Fun

C has been sick all week. Doesn't it always happen like that... dad goes away to work for the week and C catches a nasty cold. But today he was feeling better so I made some home made play dough. I knew some ooey gooey fun would get some smiles! I'm actually surprised at how easy and non-messy this play dough is. I got the recipe from daycare and it's amazing. I was expecting a mess to clean up afterward, but this stuff is great! If anyone else wants the recipe just ask, I'd be happy to share it. Next time I'll have to make more colors, but this time I stuck to good old blue.

Dance party

Check out this bedhead! I think it might be time for another haircut.Mr. Independent decided to pick out his own clothes this morning and dress himself (mostly anyway). I convinced him to put on some sweat pants, but he insisted on wearing some jean shorts... and he almost got the shorts on by himself too... and the shirt!

I guess he's feeling like it's Spring time too! I have to say this has been a wonderful winter! J and I both love the 4 seasons in Washington, but the last 2 winters were horrible! Snow and freezing cold for 6 months is not my idea of fun. I'm not even sure we had a winter this year? We only had snow for maybe a week or two total. And the temperatures have mainly been above freezing. This last week we've been in the upper 40's, low 50's. I kinda miss getting snow for maybe a month or so to play in, but I'm not complaining. I'll gladly take Spring and Fall over 6 months of winter any time! The sun is shining bright today... Spring is just around the corner!
C loves music and he loves to dance! We had a little dance party this morning after breakfast. He was using his spoon as a microphone, but I didn't get that part on video. Also, I was video taping off my camera and I had it turned sideways, which I'm not sure how to flip the orientation on a video so... he's sideways in the video. My bad!

My boys

My boys with their Seattle hats on. J taught C to do knuckles. My hoodlum's =)
brushing our teeth in the morning. You can't really tell from the picture, but C is brushing my teeth while I'm brushing his. Team work! LOL
Then daddy and C made some waffles and eggs for breakfast. Mmmmm breakfast always taste better when someone else makes it for you! Thanks guys! =)
Adding to his piggy bank.
And now daddy is off to South Dakota for the week. Burrrr!

Happy Valentines

Happy Valentines!

This weeks happenings: well, Lil' C got to play at the bounce house again. That was fun, until he drank out of a water fountain for the first time and became obsessed with the fountain. He thought the fountain was pretty amazing... instant stream of water. woo hoo!

He got bit at daycare for the first time too. No so fun. But I'm pretty impressed he didn't bite or hit or do anything back. From what I was told he just made a sour face at the kid who bit him and walked away. No tears or anything. Yeah for my big guy!

ewww the fountain!
Dad was in Montana this week. He missed his flight home too and ended up driving home.
We got a babysitter for Valentines! First babysitter (other than family). J and I went out to a nice dinner and then to the Chief's hockey game. Chiefs won! Grandma and Grandpa K spent the night so we got to visit with them too.

We had a fantastic Valentines! =)

Tina's Birthday!

Thank you for the toy Lisa! Her boys are older than my little guy so he gets some of their toys they out grow. He loves this new one! Thanks Sky and Brady!
of course after he plays with it... he has to flip it over and try to open the back with his screw driver. Silly kid!
John and little naked Ryan after his bath. Look at those cute little rolls.
Fun time at the place center.
catch me dad!
These two little boys just adored Lil' C. They followed him all over and loved it when he gave them high Fives.
First time on one of those quarter machine rides... yeah, not real impressed.
Happy Birthday Tina! We went out to dinner at Red Lobster with Tina, her hubby Aric and their two boys, Jake and Zach. Great food! Wonderful company! Not so good little boy though. Lil' C didn't want to sit in his chair.
Tina and her handsome men (all but Aric, who's like J and doesn't care for his picture to be taken).

My tool man

J and his mini-me. They even sit the same way with their right arm draped over the couch.
This is so funny. My little guy has always loved his tools, but lately he's actually using them correctly. I have no idea how he figured this out because we've never shown him, but he actually uses his screw driver to try to take the screws off things... J caught this picture of him trying to unscrew the back of his Spongue Bob.

And the other day he flipped his little car over and was checking things out. Then he went and got a hammer and banged on the axil, flipped it back over, got on it, apparently decided the first hammer didn't fix the problem, flipped it back over and got a different hammer and banged away until he was satisfied and then rode it.
Home Run! Playing with his baseball set. He loves his basketball and baseball stuff.
