Sleep over

Ryan came for a sleep over party.  Connor might look like he's pouting, but he's thinking about horses.  He said he was thinking about him and Ryan riding horses.  Good Luck with that wishful thinking buddy.  Ryan sat patiently and waiting for Connor to be done "thinking."

Connor taking a spin with his best buddy, Ryan.  Ryan didn't want to drive.. I guess he prefers the relaxing passenger seat.
boys and dirt... need I say more?

Despite my brother hating golf... we're turning Ryan into a golf pro!  Okay, maybe not pro, but he likes it anyway!
Connor practicing some baseball
The two coolest dudes I know!
The boys made some brownies for desert.  I think Ryan was calling his mom to invite her for brownies.
Connor was keeping a close eye on Ryan's stirring..  don't want any of that brownie mix to spill out.

It's Spiderman!
Times TWO!
Tickle attack in the Spiderman tent

Two clean boys
Ryan sleeps in Connor's play pen when he stays.  Usually both boys pick out books and then I read to them, but this time Jason joined in the fun and read one of the books.
Argh!  Captain Hook
Connor telling Ryan "it's like this Ryan... Arrrrrgh" with is Captain Hook finger.

park

Connor now collects: rocks, which he picks up everywhere we go.  I have to check his pockets when I do the laundry.  Although his favorite rocks are the shiny polished rocks, which he requests every time Jason travels.  Jason used to bring him home a stuffed animal every time he traveled.  Now Connor asks for rocks instead.  Adding to his collection... acorns.  But only if they have their "hat" attached.  Jason recently found him one on his Flying Irish run.  Then I found a hand full at my school, which I discretely scooped up when nobody was watching.  I'm sure we look like strange people.... me filling my pockets with acorns and Jason picking up shiny rocks everywhere he travels.  Oh the things we do for a big smile on Connor's face.  We love you buddy!

Connor and I decided to have some fun at the park.  Jason was suppose to fly out for work, but since his flight was delayed he decided to join us at the park.

I put all Connor's old Halloween costumes in a fun box for playing dress up.  He loves to play dress up.  He asked me to dress up with him.  He's wearing the dragon costume he wore for his 2nd Halloween... I'm wearing the Superman costume he wore for his 1st Halloween.  Yep, I'm wearing the same costume he wore when he was only 3 months old.  Dork- maybe.  Fun mom- definitely!

Spokane Fair

First stop this year was a ride on the train.

Then we were off to see the animals... Connor's favorite part

Connor and Jason
me and Connor

Deep Fried Butter... really?  Who wants a heart attack... line up!
Connor loves the carousel.  He rode this a few times
I finally found a stand with some sun glasses!  Yeah!  My old glasses broke and I desperately needed some with the bright sun shining.
Jason and Connor on the Caterpillar roller coaster
waiting in line for the fun house, which turned out to be a waste of money.  A few silly mirrors and the twisty slide down.

But nothing compares to riding a real pony!  Connor rode Bulls Eye forever!  I didn't think the guy was ever going to stop the pony's.  Connor loved every minute of it.

Jason didn't screw the lid onto Connor's sippy cup and it spilled red juice on his shirt.  But it had been a long day and we were ready to head back to the parking lot anyway.  Connor stretched out to relax as Jason contemplated climbing the rock wall or riding a silly bike for a $100 prize.  After we watched several people lose their money trying we decided to call it a day.
