Kaiden's monster cake. The day before his party we got a call that the bakeries cake gun that sprays on color broke. So, the original cake we ordered which was a cute monster with sprayed on green and blue colors couldn't be made. Instead they substituted this cookie monster cake. Although the cookie monster cake is cute too, I was still really disappointed that we didn't get the cake we ordered... I wasn't going for a Sesame Street theme. After the circus on Friday Jason and Connor picked up the cakes (Large cookie monster cake for guests and personal small cookie monster cake for Kaiden). I was hesitant to let Jason get the cakes and told him to make SURE they didn't get smashed on the way home... so, what does my husband does... he lets Connor carry the personal small cake to the car and guess what... the entire right side got smashed. UGH! Kaiden's small cake above, large guest cake below. Kaiden wasn't too sure about his cake. He's never really tasted cake or sugary sweets before. His cake had whip cream frosting, so it wasn't nearly as sugary as normal frosting, but it was still too sweet for him. We managed to get him to take a few little bites/licks of the frosting, but that was it. He refused to try the cake portion and he never did really smash his cake. We managed to get him to touch and feel it a little bit, but then he got mad because there was frosting on his hands. Connor used to be the same way... they hate having their hands dirty.
