Easter

 We took Alex with us to the Medical Lake community Easter Egg hunt.  Colton was there too.  The 3 boys found lots of eggs (mainly plastic eggs with candy inside this year), but no golden eggs.  Kaiden decided he wanted to shave his hair off.  Originally he wanted to grow it long.  He's been asking to grow it long for a while now, but Jason hates long hair on boys so he tends to keep their hair very short.  Well, Kaiden didn't make it very long before apparently it was driving him nuts and he decided that he did want it cut.  We let him shave his own hair, which he was very excited about.  This is the first time either of the boys have ever cut their own hair.  Of course I had to help clean things up after he was done since he couldn't see or reach everywhere. He's happy with his very short hair though.

I love playing games (board or card).  I think it's a great family activity for stimulating your brain and creating family memories.  Nobody in our family is overly competitive either.  Games are just for fun- win or loose.  About 2 years ago I bought a bunch of new games (like 20+ new games) and I think I've burnt the kids out on playing games because it's hard for me to talk them into playing now.  But Kaiden actually suggested playing a few word games to help with his reading/spelling. Of course I was all over that idea.  I think he was just trying to get out of doing spelling words, but hey it works! Anything that makes learning fun.   Its beginning to be that time of year again when we're able to take Piper for walks and Jason can do his daily lunch bike ride or run.  I started walking Piper with her backpack with 1 pound of dried beans on each side.  For her size it's recommended to add 2 pounds of total weight for a better workout for her.  The dried beans are the perfect weight and they're soft and form around her inside the backpack. Connor and Mason are getting pretty good at playing doubles for tennis.  Connor is really impressive, especially close to the net!  He's excellent at slamming the ball down and scoring points.  At least 1-2 times a month (if not more) we try to have a family movie night.  Jason's sister, Sue had to come to this direction for work and we got a chance to visit for a few hours with her.  For the last year or so Kaiden looks forward to Jason traveling because he claims his spot in our bed while Jason is gone.  He gets all excited and moves a bunch of his stuffed animals over. 

River Front Park, Tennis

 I took Kaiden and Colton to River Front Park to play and ride their bikes at the skate board park.  They loved it.  Connor is now playing tennis.  Him and Mason play the doubles.  First Smore's at the fire pit this year.

Silver Mountain

 After tubing we went to the water park to play for the evening. Jason met us there and we had burgers. The boys all had fun playing in the lazy river, the jungle gym, going down the slides and relaxing in the hot tub. They say the water is 84 degrees, but it felt a little chilly for Jason and I... so we just sat in the hot tub.  The boys didn't seem to mind though. We spent the night in one of the condo's and had a brownie desert and popcorn in bed while watching part of Avatar. The next morning we had sausage biscuits and muffins in bed and then went back to the water park for more fun. We only got to stay for a few hours though because Mason, Connor, Briton and Gerald had already bought movie tickets to see the new Kung Fu Panda movie that afternoon. Then later that night we all went over to the Morris house to watch the live UFC fight.
