Seattle Science Center

the boys checking out the uneven sidewalk that tripped Jason the night before. We walked around Seattle to check out the board walk, Kaiden played soccer with another kid on the board walk, we checked out Pikes Place Market and watched the flying fish, we got ice cream, walked around the Space Needle.  We debated on going up the Space Needle, but Connor and I have a fear of heights and once we saw how long the line was to get in... we all decided against it.  We spent several hours at the Science Center though.  They even had a laser light show.  We spent 2 days exploring Seattle.  It was fun, but the weather was rainy and chilly so we didn't get to see some of the parks.  We ended up going back to Queen Anne's Hall for dinner again too.  The food was so good we all loved it.

Seattle Billy Joel Concert

For Jason's birthday we went to Seattle to see Billy Joel in concert at the T-mobile Park.  Jason has always loved Billy Joel. His friend Lee, his wife Debbie and daughter Faith also met us there.  And their other high school friend, John Pots and his wife Heather.  We all stayed at the Hilton Embassy Suites hotel and met up at the Queen Anne Hall for dinner.  They had a live Elvis band playing.  The food was amazing! The hotel room was fantastic.  I love the set up!  The opening band for Billy Joel was Jason Bonham's which is the son of Led Zeppelin and they did a tribute to Zeppelin.  Billy Joel is 75 years old but still sounds amazing!  Afterwards we all made our way to the street.  Lee, Debbie and Faith took an Uber back to the hotel.  Jason, John, Heather and I had shared a Uber to the concert, but decided to use scooters for the 2 mile ride back to the hotel.  In the crowd we ended up getting separated from them so it was just Jason (who was drunk) and myself finding our way back to the hotel. We started off riding the scooters on the side of the street, which is what your suppose to do.  But Jason made me nervous with his swerving.  So as soon as the crowd disappeared we rode them on the sidewalks instead.  Those things go way too fast.  At one point we had stopped to check the map on our phone to figure out what direction we needed to go and when Jason attempted to start moving again his foot slipped off the scooter and his face kissed a brick wall.  Amazingly he didn't get scraped up and only had a small bump.  Then his scooter died and we tried to ride tantum on my scooter.  That was dangerous and I could see us crashing... so I chose to jog instead.  About 2 more blocks and my scooter died too and we were both walking.  When we reached the hotel Jason was walking over to check on our car and the next thing I know he's on the ground in a bush. Come to find out the sidewalk was very uneven and he twisted his ankle and fell.  What a night!  The next morning we joined everyone for breakfast to laugh about the night before and visit before everyone went their own ways.

Kaiden's choir concert

Every Wednesday Kaiden goes to school early to practice in the choir.  They had a concert at the Middle school with his choir group- 4th and 5th graders from Medical Lake, Medical Lake Middle school choir, the Medical Lake High school choir, Michael Anderson choir group (school on the Airforce base nearby). Each group did their own songs for the concert and then they came together as a group to sing some songs. I really enjoyed the songs that Kaiden's group did.  His band/choir teacher Mr. Davis chose Disney songs: Zip-a-de-doo-dah from Song of the South, Jungle Books Bare Necessities and Try Everything from Zootopia.  Kaiden loves to dress up, so of course he chose a bright green color shirt with tie and slacks.

May fun

Drinks with Rachel, Emily and Regan after work. Connor's last tennis match.  Connor and Mason played doubles this year and they both did really good! Connor really enjoyed playing too, so hopefully he plays again next year.  Kaiden's soccer games.  He did really good this year too!  The team was undefeated for the season!  Connor's favorite place in the house... if he's not in his room either reading a book or playing on his phone, he's usually in the basement playing his PS5. For Mother's day Kaiden made me a card and gave me a plant (we have no idea what kind) from school. Jason and the boys got me an apron- earlier this week I made spaghetti and some of the sauce splattered on my shirt.  Connor and Jason also made me breakfast for Mother's day.  Connor, Jason and I took Piper for a nice little walk and I took a picture because Connor is almost as tall as Jason.. he inches closer every day.
