Silver Mountain

 The boys had a 4 day weekend for conferences. We did both conferences on Thursday and then went to Silver Mountain Friday. We took Connor's best friend, Mason with us. We all rode up the gondola together and then Jason spent the day skiing with his friend, Paul while the boys and I spent 2 hours tubing. But first we grabbed some hot cocoa and snacks in the lodge. We met a guy that was skiing in a Big Foot costume. The boys thought he was hilarious. This was our first time tubing at Silver Mountain and it was so much fun! There are 4 tubing lanes, 2 sizes of single tubes and a double tube. You can race individual tubes down the hill or your can link as many as you want together and all go down together. Then there is a magic carpet conveyor belt that sits between the tube hill and bunny hill that you ride back up to the top of the hill. The magic carpet is covered and warm inside, so after our first run down the hill we all started stripping off layers of clothing.  It was way warmer than I expected it to be. We all had a total blast. 

Music Program

 Kaiden's 4th grade music program.  He was the best dressed little gentleman. Plus Kaiden's BUG (bringing up grades) school award. Rachel, Emily and I checked out 24 Taps Burgers and Brews for restaurant week. They have an amazing peanut butter, huckleberry jam, bacon cheese burger. Sounds strange, but it was sooo good.

buddy time

Kaiden with his buddies, Colton and Dawson.  Connor- I dropped him off at Subway where he met Rachel (her mom dropped her off too) and the two of them had their first "date" night out. The options are limited for places to eat in Medical Lake.  We're a small town so, your options are Subway, Bruchi's, Bakery, Mexican and now we have a new Roam coffee/dinner option.  Rachel also got Connor a lemon bar from the bakery since she knows lemon deserts are his favorite. They visited for 2 hours and then we picked them up.  Alex spent the night with Kaiden.

Gin Blossoms

 Date night out.  Jason and I went to the Gin Blossoms concert at Northern Quest.  Kaiden spent the night at Colton's house (first time) and Connor had the house to himself.  He loves the quiet serenity.

Dillon's birthday party

 Kaiden was invited to Dillon's birthday party at the AWH rec center for a pool party.

Games

Family game night- Dominos.  Rachel came over for dinner and games- Qwirkle and Uno.  Jason was in Reno for work.  Connor gave Rachel the Valentine gifts he got for her- box of Belgium chocolates and a silver star fish necklace (that he actually got on our vacation for her).  She was wearing the emerald necklace he gave her when we got back from our trip too.  Kaiden gave her one of his Minecraft valentine cards while we were eating dinner too.  Tonight Connor asked Rachel to be his girlfriend too and she said yes.  It's official now!  They have had a crush on each other since the 3rd grade and now they are officially dating.  Last picture is Connor and I putting together some 4D Harry Potter puzzles.  I put Harry and Hermine together and Connor did Hedwig. 

Mobius

We met Channing and Aedan at Mobius for some fun. Kaiden and Aedan had fun playing together. Channing and I got some time to chat. Jason and Connor had fun exploring together. Then we all rode the carousel. Kaiden was upset that he couldn't find the horse that he wanted to ride. We were hoping to go ice skating too, but it was raining outside. So, instead we went to Flat Stick to play some indoor games, but all the tables were reserved for birthday parties. We checked out the new Lego store. The boys had fun building characters. Then we had a late lunch- early dinner at Red Robin before heading home. Kaiden ended the day playing a solo game of Twister.
