projects

the projects continue...
Project #4: repaint the bathroom on the main floor.  When we built our house in 2006 I thought I would try sponging on some color.  I love the sponge technique, I just hate the color's I chose.  I decided to pull some of the colors out of the counter and floor, which are natural stone.  I painted the walls a light brown and sponged a dark brown over the top.  I have hated this room every since!  J likes it, probably because it looks like a boys bathroom.  The dark brown reminds me of pine cones.

I bought paint and primer mixed and had to put 2 coats on to cover the browns.  I had a hard time deciding on a color for this room.  There is no window so I wanted to go with a very light paint.  I chose Cottage White.  It's very close to white, with just a ting of a creamy beige.

Other happenings: C had his 3 year check up.  We stopped at the park to play before his appointment and he met a new friend.
