It's been a few years since we've been to the Mobius Science Center. Originally we were told that the exhibits would change every few months and things would be completely new and different. Unfortunately that hasn't happened. The last time we visited was before Kaiden was born and things are pretty much the exact same. A few of the old exhibits are gone or broken. They did add a wind tunnel and planetarium, but they are charging extra for those attractions. Overall, we were not impressed though. It's sad too because when Connor was little we had annual memberships to the kids Mobius (separate from the Science Center. It's for little kids). We had planned on getting memberships to the Science Center too, but it's just not worth it since things never change and it gets boring really quick. After an hour of playing at Mobius we went to lunch at Red Robin, which was not fun since Kaiden was tired and decided to throw a fit. He's usually pretty good at restaurants, but not today. Once we got in the car Kaiden crashed out, so we stopped by the store since Connor was super excited to buy a new Lego kit with his tooth fairy money. Kaiden loved the turtle tank!

last basketball game
Connor's last basketball game. He was actually sad that this was his last game. He did really good this season too. The last several practices he made baskets, but the very last practice he made 4 baskets! He shot the ball several times during this game and came really close to making a basket, but didn't quiet get it in. He even stole the ball from his opponent once! Nice job Connor!!

Connor's 2nd loose tooth
Ruby! Both the boys love our neighbors cat, Ruby. Connor calls her his "step cat." She comes over all the time to get a few rubs, some tasty kitty treats and some love from the boys. Sometimes I let her in the house for a few minutes so Kaiden can love on her. He gets such a thrill out of petting her. He laughs and laughs. Connor has his 2nd loose tooth... the bottom right! Jason and Connor
thought it would be fun to use his remote control car to pull his tooth
out. Originally it was going to be his remote control helicopter, but
it didn't have enough power to get the job done. So, they gave the car a
try. Jason and I tied the dental floss around his tooth... which was
difficult because his tooth was soooo small. Then Connor had the remote
to make the car drive. We gave it several tries, but unfortunately the
tooth was very small and very loose and the dental floss kept flying
off. After numerous attempts Connor saw a little bit of blood on the
dental floss and that was the end. Connor gets scared every time he
sees blood. It's no longer fun once blood is involved.
The very next day his tooth fell out at school. It happened during
snack time. He bit into a grape and noticed his tooth was missing...
so, he spit the grape and tooth out. The teacher sent him to the office
to get a cute little treasure box for his tooth. He chose an orange
treasure box. That night we put his orange treasure box with his itty bitty tooth
inside his tooth fairy pillow... along with a note asking the tooth
fairy if his mom could keep his tooth. The next morning he was so
excited to find his pillow stuffed with money. He received lots of
change, but the best was 2 gold coins worth a dollar each! We took him
shopping that weekend to spend his money and he chose a new Lego kit
that makes 3 creations. We actually bought him the Lego kit and told
him he could keep his tooth fairy money for his piggy bank.

pouty face
Kaiden recently switched from sleeping on his right side or back to sleeping on his stomach with his little tush in the air. I put him down to sleep on his back with a small pillow under his head, but during the night he rolls to his tummy with his knees underneath him and his tush up. He started moving all over his crib during the night too. Half the time when I go in to feed him during the night his head is at the bottom of the crib. His sleep schedule also changed. He used to go to bed at 7:00 on the dot. I could set my clocks my his internal schedule! I swear the minute the clock would strike 7:00 he would start rubbing his eyes and getting grumpy. During the day he would go down for a 45 minute- 1 hour nap at 10:00 and 2:00. The same week he started sleeping on his tummy he also changed up his sleep routine. He currently goes to bed around 7:30-8:00. He still wakes up around 1:00am for a 6oz. bottle and diaper change. Then he's back asleep until 7:00am if we're lucky. Sometimes he wakes up because his pacifier fell out and he whines until Jason or I go retrieve the pacifier and give it back to him. I currently keep 3 pacifiers in his room... it's hard to find a little binky in the dark. Then he goes down for nap at 11:00. He either sleeps for 3 hours or he naps for 2 hours then needs another nap around 4:00 for 1 more hour. I keep a couple stuffed animals in his crib, which he usually plays with and entertains himself for a few minutes when he wakes up. Connor's bedtime is still 8:30. Although sometimes by the time he gets his PJ's on, brushes his teeth and we read a bedtime store it's 9:00 before the lights go off in his room. I had to get some pictures of Kaiden's pouty face since it's so cute. This is the face we get when we tell him No! He's usually pretty good about listening. When we tell him No (in a stern voice) he will usually look at whoever said it and then crawl away. If you say No too stern or raise your voice though his bottom lower lip will quiver and you get the pouty face look.

swimming
For the last 3 Friday's we've gone to the valley YMCA for an evening of swimming. We meet Jason there after work. The first Friday Kaiden played in the daycare center while the 3 of us swam in the kids section. Connor went down the twisty slide at least a dozen times. The second Friday I decided to bring Kaiden into the kids pool to see if he liked it. The water is heated to around 88%, but I wasn't sure if that would be warm enough for Kaiden's liking since his bath water is always above 98%. He wasn't real sure at first and only got his feet wet, but once he started splashing and playing around it was all good! He played in the water for a hour before I took him out. Pictured below is just before we left for our third Friday swim and Kaiden played in the pool for an hour this time too. Smiling and laughing and splashing the entire time. He never once got grumpy or wanted out. After an hour of swimming though the 4 of us are ready to come home and relax. Connor is getting better at swimming and he loves going down the slide.
