Riverfront Park

We finally checked out the new Ice Age Floods playground at Riverfront park in Spokane. The park opened this last May. There is a 3-story Columbian slide tower, Glacial Dam splash pad, a log jam climber, an alluvial deposit fossil dig, and more. The playground covers 40,000 square feet at Riverfront's North Bank.  The boys had fun, although Connor didn't run around and play nearly as much as Kaiden. He still had fun though. It was 100 degrees and we were at the park for 2 hours. There was a group of summer camp kids there too, so after we explored initially we bought some ice cream and sat in the shade to take a break. Just as we finished our ice cream treat the camp kids left for lunch so there wasn't hardly any kids on the playground. We played for a while until the camp kids came back and then we decided to walk around Riverfront park.
