Davenport tree's

The Davenport hotel decorates a bunch of trees with all kinds of fun stuff for a raffle every year.  You buy tickets and drop your ticket in the box for the tree that you hope to win.  It's not so much to win the tree itself (although they are decorated really pretty) it's more to win the "stuff" that goes along with the tree... like vacation trips, money, furniture, etc.  We have yet to win anything, but we still enjoy going to check out the trees with friends every year.  This year we went with Greg and Johanna Wallweber.  Jason first met Greg when they worked together at Monaco.  Then we both met his wonderful wife Johanna at the Flying Irish.  They are the sweetest, funnest couple we have met.  We love hanging out with them and the boys just adore them.  They don't have any kids, but they love our boys and their so great with them.

Greg giving Kaiden's bunny a piggy back ride.  Kaiden has 2 of these bunnies, thanks to his big brother giving him his bunny too.  Kaiden has been attached to these bunnies since birth.  He takes them everywhere!  After we saw the trees at the Davenport we walked to the downtown mall, which had a few more of their trees on display to raffle.  Santa was sitting in the lobby with no kids around.  No line at all.  This is our favorite santa to see each year and get pictures with.  We hadn't really planned on getting pictures today with Santa, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to see him when there wasn't a 45 minute wait in line.

We followed that up with lunch.  Kaiden is still closing his eyes when he knows the flash is about to go off.  As you can see above Jason is not fond of my camera flash either.
The following day we had Greg and Johanna over for dinner.  Jason, Greg and Kaiden stayed at our house to visit, while Johanna, Connor and I went to see the new Moana movie at the theater.  Afterwards Johanna and I painted a decorative dots picture, Connor painted some characters from his game (he likes to play games on Jason's old phone) and Kaiden painted his own picture...

Sue's

Sue also bought the Mouth Guard Challenge game.  Wow, that was crazy funny and difficult.

Kaiden wanted a try too, but his little mouth isn't big enough for the mouth guard... so he improvised.  LOL

Kaiden has decided the flash on my camera is too bright (probably from listening to his father complain about the flash)... so he's started closing his eyes when he knows I'm about to take a picture.

Nice face Jason.  He doesn't always like to have his picture taken

Sue asked Connor what he wanted for his birthday this year, so he's showing her the bakugan he wants.

game time

We drove to Longview/Kelso to spend Thanksgiving with Jason's family.  His sister, Sue always buys the funnest games to play after dinner.  This year she bought the Pie in the Face game.

Sue's dog, Brody.  The boys love playing with Brody, but he has a very loud bark.  "Too loud Brody" as Kaiden says.  Connor loved the pie in the face game.  He must have taken a turn at least half a dozen times.

We got to meet Lauren's boyfriend, Anthony (above) and Breana's boyfriend, Daniel (below)

chores

The boys have chores to do every weekend: scrub the toilet and floors in the downstairs bathroom and their bathroom upstairs, sweep the floor under the table, put their clean clothes away, dust living room, help take the trash out and pick up their toys.  Connor gets $5 each week since he does the majority of the work.  Kaiden earns $1 since he tends to only help with cleaning the floors.
