Halloween

Connor didn't have any plans for Halloween so he was going to stay home and hand out candy. We were invited over to Micki and Brian's house. They had a fire pit in the front driveway and tables set up with snacks/drinks. We started the evening by taking Kaiden, Alex and Jordy out trick-or-treating. Then we visited at Micki's house with everyone outside. Then Kaiden and Alex decided to change into other costumes and go trick-or-treating some more.  Then we visited at Micki's again. Around this time I decided to go check on Connor... His friends Mason, Britain, Derek and Derek's girlfriend were goofing off in our yard and the second I got home Connor left to go hang out with them. So I handed out candy at our house. Then Connor and his friends came back to warm up and goof around at our house. Then Kaiden, Alex and Jordy stopped by to goof around. Eventually I finally made it back over to Micki's house to end the night visiting. The plan was for Kaiden and Jordy to spend the night at Alex's house, but Kaiden and Jordy had a tiff and Kaiden decided to come home instead. Busy, but fun Halloween. Both boys said this was one of the best Halloweens. I'm glad they both had a group of friends to hang out with.  Weather was great this year too! We did get a very light sprinkle of rain towards the end, but hardly any. And no wind this year and it wasn't super cold. Surprisingly the trick-or-treating ended around 8:00pm too.  Normally we still have tons coming by at 9:00pm.  I didn't count how many we had, but I would guess it was at least 200 kids.

Pumpkin carving

 I planted 1 pumpkin plant in my garden this year and grew 8 pumpkins! All the pumpkins on the steps (except the biggest and smallest pumpkin on the top right step I grew).  Alex came over and him and Kaiden carved pumpkins together.

October

 Grandma and Grandpa drove down to watch one of Kaiden's football games.  They said they were too busy to stop and visit at our house so they literally drove 1 hour to watch a 1 hour game and then drove 1 hour back home. Kaiden's last game was at night under the stadium lights. We had Micki, Brian, Alex and Tony over to play board games. We played Throw Throw Burrito and Uno.  Jason took Kaiden and Alex out on the ATV's. 

October

 Kaiden played flag football again this fall.  His team was the Jets.  Jason spent almost the entire month of October in Dallas, Texas for work.  He was home every weekend, but since he was gone during the week he couldn't coach the team. We had 2 other dads coach the team instead (both military dads).  Our team didn't win any games this year. Kaiden still had fun, but Jason said he will coach for sure next year.  Kaiden did an amazing job this year.  He scored some touch downs, pulled a ton of flags and he was one of the fastest kids on the team.  Jason's brother, Mark stopped by for a night.  He was passing through on his way to a bow hunting trip.  We had Micki, Alex and Toni over for dinner and visiting around our new patio fire set.  We took a trip up to visit my parents and took them out to dinner at the local Mexican restaurant. And we said good bye to Joey at Spokane Cardiology.  Joey and Paul are the nuclear technicians at Holy Family for stress tests. Toni is the MA working Holy Family.
