The boys and I are having fun doing science projects. We made butter.
We used milk and vinegar to make plastic
We created power with a potato.
Jason and I re-sealed the roof of our RV and then put it in storage to fully dry.

I'm the new teacher. Jason is the new principle. Connor's work is mainly on-line and he's independent with it. We check in on him once in a while, but for the most part he just wakes up in the morning and starts doing his work. Luckily the kid is a math genius! We're so glad about that because neither of us understand the new Common Core way of doing math. He's still working with his tutor for reading, but at this point I'm not sure we even need a tutor anymore. He's reading really good and he loves to read. If he's not playing with his brother I can almost guarantee he's either in his bedroom reading his book or in the basement playing at his Lego table. He's such a good kid.
Kaiden is good too, but being that he's only 5 it's harder to keep him focused. And he can't work independent on his homework. I can usually get him to sit and work for 1 hour before he needs a break. I bought both the boys Brain Quest home school books. Connor I bought 5th grade, which some of the pages are super easy for him but at least it's a refresher. Kaiden I bought 1st grade. The work they are doing in kindergarten now is more equivalent to 1st grade work. He's already reading books, which when Connor went through this he was in 1st grade before they started reading books. Kaiden is already doing addition and subtraction too. We spend 1 hour in the morning working then in the afternoon I bring both the boys to the table to complete 3-4 pages in their Brain Quest home school books. That's a little more challenging for me since I'm toggling between both of them. Then we try to do a science project, which the boys love.
Oil and Water science project.
Life as we know it came to a slow stop. Due to the Covid 19 Corona Virus we have had to social distance. Most everything is shut down. No going to the park, play ground, all schools shut down for the year, most people working from home...
Our new routine is that we wake up, get breakfast, Jason works on his computer in the office, Connor does his homework on the computer in his room, I sit at the table and work with Kaiden on his homework for 1 hour. Then we break for lunch. The boys spend the rest of the day playing. Jason and I spend the rest of the day working on house projects. I went to Costco right after they announced the lock down (not to hoard stuff like other American's, but because it was my normal Costco run). Check out how empty the bread isle was. The first 2+ weeks of lock down it was impossible to find toilet paper, soap, any kind of mask and bread products. Luckily I had just bought a big pack of TP from Costco a few weeks before this started, so we're good for a while.
I bought the boys each a Harry Potter wand. They light up, make sounds and have 5 different spell training/game modes. The boys love them. I had planned on using them along with our Hogwarts beanies when we visit the San Juan Islands. Orcas has a Harry Potter themed escape room.
