Michael Carbonaro- Lies on Stage

The boys love to watch the Carbonaro Magic show on TV, so we bought them tickets to his show for Christmas. It was 1/2 magic show and 1/2 comedy show.  We all laughed and had a great time!

Jr. Life Guard

 Aunt Frann sent the boys some chocolate covered oreo cookies and Jr. Mints for Valentines.. sooo good!  I was scheduled off from work on Valentines, but Rachel, Mica and Channing wore matching valentines shirts to work. Connor's last Jr. Life Guard swim class was short staffed and since there are only 2 people in his class (and the other kid, Miles didn't show up for the last class) the swim instructor, Isaiah put Connor in with his actual Life Guard certification class.  Connor actually wanted to take this class originally, but you have to be 15 years old to get certified. It was funny though, Connor knew more of the information and how to rescue than the kids trying to get certified. Isaiah actually used Connor as a second instructor to demonstrate the rescue moves too. 

Valentines

 I got the boys each a heat activated mug (the picture changes with heat) and a Kinder chocolate egg for Valentines. I recently made 3 more shirts too- black Jack Skellington, burnt orange Harry Potter snitch, grey Pirates of the Caribbean Davy Jones. Connor is going to his first dance tonight. He asked Rachel to go with him. The Valentines dance is at his middle school from 2:30-4:30pm. I wanted to chaperone, but Connor is already so shy. I didn't want to make him anymore nervous. He's almost as tall as Jason now. Jason surprised us with a funny front door mat.

Swimming and games

 Swimming and game night with the Morris's- the younger kids played video games and toys down stairs, Tristan dressed up as Mandalorian with light sabers, Connor, Raheem and Landry played Taco vs Burrito with the adults. I made shirts for Connor and Rachel for their Washington DC spring break trip.

work friends

Shopping and lunch at Waddell's with Channing. They have some amazing ciders. Channing and I have a new tea obsession- Butterfly Pea Tea (made from blue flowers). The tea is a deep blue color and if you add a few drops of lemon (or anything acidic) it turns a vibrant purple.  Last picture is Channing, Rachel and I having a cider at the Park Inn after work.

Friends

 I had dinner at Biljana's new house. Kim, Michael, Lindsey, Biljana and I. We're all nurses, so it was great to be able to shop talk. Raheem came over and played the game Plunder with us. Landry, Isaiah and Kaiden played their own game.

January fun

 Every Saturday we spend 2 hours swimming at the gym. Lunch with Channing again. Connor and I had made Rachel a shirt with one of her poems on it for Christmas. Connor used to have an orange fleece jacket that he wore every day to school.  It was his absolute favorite jacket until he out grew it. Rachel got him this orange 1/3 zip pull over fleece sweat shirt for Christmas.  It's the exact same color as the jacket he loved. The middle school is having a valentines dance. This will be the very first school dance for Connor. A boy named Max had already asked Rachel to the dance, but she said no. Connor meets her after school every day and walks her home. Rachel kept hinting that she wanted Connor to ask her to the dance. It took him a few days (Connor is super shy), but he finally got up the nerve.  I told him he should ask her in a fun way. She loves poetry, so Connor wrote his first poem and asked her to the dance. She said yes, of course.
