Pumpkin patch

 This year we decided to go to the Siemers Pumpkin patch at Green Bluff.  Kaiden had a blast (which is the reason we went).  Connor's to the age where he doesn't care to participate in these events, but he's respectful enough that he will still go because he knows his brother enjoys it.  They had a hay bale maze, corn maze with the big castle in the middle, pirate ship jungle gym, blow up slides, tiny toot barrel train, big toot train ride, fresh pumpkin donuts and of course the pumpkin patch itself.   We were only there for 1.5 hours.  Kaiden would have stayed for another hour playing.  Connor was bored.  Afterwards we grabbed some lunch at Red Robin and then Connor and I went to Rachel's church with her family for an event.

October

 Kaiden is learning the drums in music class at school.  My parents came over to watch one of Kaiden's flag football games and we took them out to lunch at the local Mexican restaurant in ML afterwards.  We finally decided to take the water melon off the vine in the garden before it freezes.  We've been really lucky this year.  We had some 70-80 degree days in May and we've also had some in October!  We had a work shower/get together with my friend, Rachel who just adopted a little girl.  Starting in the back left corner working to the right around the table it's: Anna, Rachel Jones, Cheryl, Alana holding baby Jayla (who is 2 months old now), Rachel Johnson (aka Mama), Mica, Toni and Regan.

Football

Emily and I met Rachel at the Cider House for a drink after work to meet little Jayla.  Xavier came over after school to work on the bug project for school with Connor.  He actually spent the night and we had Alex and his parents over for smores that night.  Kaiden and Alex are doing amazing in flag football.  Connor left for the weekend to go to Silver Mountain with a bunch of friends for Mason's birthday party.

September

More flag football. Connor and I finally bought the ingredients and made his Harry Potter Butter Beer (no alcohol, it's mainly cream soda).  Alex and Kaiden painted some spiders for Halloween.  Jason did another 1/2 triathlon.  The boys made him some signs to welcome him home after the race.  It was in the tri-cities and both boys were sick, so we didn't go.  Jason and I went to another outdoor concert at Northern Quest- the Glorious Sons and Smashing Pumpkins.

September

Connor has a bug project in his science class where he needs to collect 26 bugs from different groups. I took him to the lake to find some dragon flies and other bugs. Then he kayaked for a while, Piper swam and Kaiden and Alex caught (and released) small fish.  Emily and I had a break in our work schedule so we had lunch at Wisconsin burger.  Kaiden and Alex are loving flag football.  Kaiden has played for several years now and loved it, but he finally talked Alex into joining the team this year and now Alex loves it too.  I've been taking Connor for short driving lessons.  Until now we've just been driving around his high school back parking lot.  Today I took him to a short paved road that never gets used and let him drive.  He's getting way more comfortable and confident in his driving now.  Kaiden tested out his Halloween costume.  This year he wanted to go as SWAT.  My friend at work, Rachel just adopted an adorable little girl named Jayla.
