First we had Kaiden's 1st soccer game of the season. Jason is coaching, along with another dad. Kaiden scored the only goal. He did amazing! Afterwards I took Kaiden, Alex and Colton to Get Air Trampoline park and let them jump and play for 3 hours! Connor drove Jason around for 1 hour doing errands. After the trampoline park Colton was wore out. The 3 of them were suppose to come back to our house for hamburgers and ice cream cake for Kaiden's 11th birthday party, but Colton decided to go home and rest instead. So, it was just Alex and Kaiden. Alex's parents came over and visited around a camp fire too. Alex spent the night. Simple, easy birthday party... I told Kaiden he could invite anyone he wanted, but he said he only wanted his 2 best friends and just wanted to play at the trampoline park and then come back for ice cream cake. He picked the ice cream cake. I usually get Dairy Queen Blizzard cakes, but he opted for something different. We tried the Carvel's ice cream cake, which had high reviews. We all liked Dairy Queen way better.

Easter
Alex and Kaiden did the Easter Egg Hunt at Water Front Park. Then Connor drove us to my parent's house in Chewelah. He drove for 1 hour straight!! First time with passengers in the back seat. Also, first time going through a stop light. Grandma hid eggs with coins and candy inside. The boys played with their 2 dogs and my aunt Geri's 2 dogs (she's in Hawaii so my parents are baby sitting her dogs). Jason and Kaiden wrestled, while Harry and Benji defended Kaiden. Jason chopped down my beautiful tree in the backyard. I only have 3 tree's total and he chopped one down. But the limbs keep pushing on our shed and it's hard to mow the yard around the branches.

Shawn's funeral
My cousin Shawn passed away. His sister, Staci organized everything and decided against having a funeral, but she organized a gathering for everyone to visit. I got a chance to reconnect with family members that I haven't seen in years.

April
Kaiden and Alex are inseparable on the weekends. They rotate on who's house they spend the night at. Alex stayed at our house this weekend so the boys watched a movie on the projection screen in the basement with popcorn. Connor and I have been doing a ton of driving together. He's taking drivers ED right now so we practice his driving every weekend for at least 1 hour of drive time. Jason actually went for a drive with him this weekend too. I bought him magnetic signs for the car that say Student driver... it actually helps so people don't get impatient with him. Every time we've had them on the car the people driving around us are polite and nice. Connor's good about remembering to put them on too. The one time he forgot someone got impatient and honked at him and he had some people get annoyed and pass him. I think people tend to be more courteous when they realize your learning though. I took Kaiden, Alex and Connor to see the new Mine Craft movie. Connor also saw the same movie a few days later with his best friend, Mason.

Pacific Lake Camping
I think this is the 4th Spring break we've spent camping at Pacific Lake. It works out good since it's only 2 hours from our house and we're usually the only one camping there since it's still a bit chilly out. The boys get to shoot their BB guns, go for hikes, roast marsh mellows and Piper loves to run around and explore. This year 5 minutes after we let Piper outside of the RV she managed to find a dead baby porcupine and get quills stuck in her tush. We think she was trying to pee on the corps to mark her scent. Luckily the quills were not very big and not in deep. Also, there were no ticks this year! I treat Piper for ticks before we go every year, but there have been previous years where we still had to pick ticks off her. We only brought 3 ATV's with us this year. Connor and I were actually going to skip this camping trip and stay home, but Jason talked us into going. Jason and Kaiden went on several 4-wheeler rides, while Connor and I hung back at the RV to read. Connor was really into his book and I'm working on reading the bible all the way through. This was a short camping trip Saturday - Monday d/t scheduled rain all day Monday and Tuesday.
