I'm still going to St. Lukes for PT on my shoulder. Kaiden brought mini cupcakes to school to celebrate his 7th birthday. He insisted that he needed to dress up so, he could look extra handsome for his party. I bought 24 felt dinosaur masks for his party. After school he had fun trying them on. Then he went outside to play with his neighborhood buddies. Kaiden's wacky hair after school from wearing his hat at recess. Goofy Piper taking her nap in Connor's bed with her legs all wrapped up.
First boating of the season- We went to our favorite spot, Frog Hollow to explore the beach. The water was really low. We found a fish trap at the end and let a big toad go free. Enjoyed some subway and chips for lunch. Kaiden played with his dinosaurs in the sand. Piper chased butterflies and swam. Connor explored the shore and read his book in the boat. Kaiden caught a crawdad and picked it up for the first time. Fun was had by all.
We had 70 degree weather today! Alex and I walked all the kids and our 3 dogs to the park in town.
Kaiden has been asking to take his 4-wheeler back to the ORV track and we finally got a little bit warmer weather today. He rode around for 2 hours while Connor read his book.
Connor has had braces on for the last 2 years now. He hates them. The brackets fall off, the wire cuts his gums, its hard to floss and clean... we're all happy the time has finally come to get them off. I tried to get an appointment to remove them before our trip, but this was the earliest appointment they had. So, bright and early the day after we returned I drove Connor to get them off. This was phase 1 and in about a year or so he'll start phase 2, but we have decided to go with invisalign for that portion.
