Play date with Max!

Our next door neighbors are the sweetest people ever! We just love them! They have a granddaughter and grandson who are both 3 months older than Connor. Today they brought Max, their grandson over to play with Connor. Yeah, play buddies! Max is 14 months old and Connor is 11 months old. Hopefully we'll get to see more of Max this summer. He was a little bit shy at first, but he warmed up pretty quickly. Connor was all smiles, but we need to work on sharing his toys a little more. Max is a cutie and such a sweet boy! =)

Manito with Jeni & Shyla

Connor and I met my friend Jeni and her daughter, Shyla at Manito park for a nice walk. The park is so pretty with all the flowers in bloom... of course I totally forgot to take any pictures of that, but I got tons of Shyla! She is just sooo adorable! I love those cheeks!

Sea Food Heaven

Staci and Tony invited Connor and I over for dinner Saturday... OMG Tony made the BEST sea food fettuccine! He is an amazing chef! And since Jason is away golfing this weekend, he gave me some left overs to bring home for Jason to enjoy... along with some double chocolate brownies! There's the 'gold standard' and then there's the 'Tony standard' which is the highest culinary honor! Yes, he's really that good! Your a very lucky woman Staci!!! =)

5 wonderful years!

Today Jason and I have been married for 5 years! He surprised me with the most beautiful necklace. He shocked me at how much thought he put into this too! It's a silver heart with a diamond in the middle and a ruby red heart attached, which is Connor's birth stone! Two hearts connected forever. It's absolutely perfect honey! =)
Jason's anniversary/birthday gift was suppose to be some new golf clubs to break in this weekend on his golf trip with his buddies. But he hasn't found any he likes yet. Bummer! Oh and I never posted, but my Mother's day gift this year was suppose to be a new car. We had decided on a Subaru Outback, but then we did some more research and found that some Subaru's are having problems... so we're still debating on what we want.

1st ear infection

So, Connor's been running a fever of 102 since Monday now. Along with a snotty nose and grumpy attitude. I knew he was teething, but this isn't like him to be cranky. Last night I was up with him from 8pm - 12am nonstop crying. Nothing made him happy or helped. I tried Tylenol, teething tablets, cold wet wash cloth... everything. Anyway so today he was grumpy and during nap time he would wake up every 15 minutes crying. So we went into the pediatrician to have him checked out. I don't want to be one of those mom's who freak out and drag their kid in at the slightest sign of a cold, but this just isn't normal for him. He has 4 teeth already and handled them just fine so it seemed like it was more than just teething. And... I was right! One time I wish I wasn't right though. He has an ear infection, virual infection in his throat and 2 teeth breaking through. Poor guy!! But at least we're on antibiotics now so hopefully he'll start feeling better soon and his fever will go away. Jason left work on Monday to pick him up, I took Tuesday and today off... and it looks like I'll have to miss tomorrow too. Ugh! There goes all my vacation time. Pediatrician said he should be feeling better and the
fever should be down by Friday so he can go back to daycare then. On a side note I'm really happy to know this isn't just teething cause we still have a mouth full of teeth and 2 years to go and this was not a pleasant experience!
