We drove over to see Aunt Frann in Issaquah and decided to get Connor's 1st hair cut! He started off all smiles in his fire truck...And then the lady tried to use clippers... bad choice! I think the vibration and noise scared him.
So, we switched to sitting on mom's lap. No smiles, but at least no tears either!
wooo hooo! Connor's cute new hair style.
He loves Frann's 2 dogs and her cat... especially her cat! He got so excited every time he saw her.

1st ear infection
So, Connor's been running a fever of 102 since Monday now. Along with a snotty nose and grumpy attitude. I knew he was teething, but this isn't like him to be cranky. Last night I was up with him from 8pm - 12am nonstop crying. Nothing made him happy or helped. I tried Tylenol, teething tablets, cold wet wash cloth... everything. Anyway so today he was grumpy and during nap time he would wake up every 15 minutes crying. So we went into the pediatrician to have him checked out. I don't want to be one of those mom's who freak out and drag their kid in at the slightest sign of a cold, but this just isn't normal for him. He has 4 teeth already and handled them just fine so it seemed like it was more than just teething. And... I was right! One time I wish I wasn't right though. He has an ear infection, virual infection in his throat and 2 teeth breaking through. Poor guy!! But at least we're on antibiotics now so hopefully he'll start feeling better soon and his fever will go away. Jason left work on Monday to pick him up, I took Tuesday and today off... and it looks like I'll have to miss tomorrow too. Ugh! There goes all my vacation time. Pediatrician said he should be feeling better and the
fever should be down by Friday so he can go back to daycare then. On a side note I'm really happy to know this isn't just teething cause we still have a mouth full of teeth and 2 years to go and this was not a pleasant experience!

Jason sold his motorcycle. Bye Bye bike!brushing his teeth first thing in the morning... no morning breath in this house!
I helped John and Laura paint their house on Saturday (along with a bunch of their friends). Then Jason helped them move in on Sunday. Yeah! 2 more weeks until baby Nudge is here!

Standing and Walking...
Me and my boy on Mother's Day!We went out to breakfast with some friends on Mother's Day. They were passing through Spokane on their way to Yellowstone. I hope they had a blast! We plan on going there in a few years when Connor is old enough to enjoy the wildlife. Lee, Debbie and Faith

checking out his tummy. Daddy taught him to pat his tummy and now he thinks it's pretty funny. He's got quiet the little belly on him too!
standing all by himself in his new sandals (mom's there for the 'just in case')
Connor peaking over the fence saying hello to our neighbors. We love our next door neighbors Jon and Vicki! They have a granddaughter and grandson that are 3 months older than Connor. We're looking forward to their BBQ's this summer for the kids to play!
My cousin Kathy and Connor. He loves Kathy! =)
and of course Aunt Staci and Uncle Tony always get some smiles
John and Laura's baby shower at the Spaghetti Factory... 1 more month to go until little nudge (as they call him) is here!
What a cute couple!

The girls at daycare had fun with Connor today... they thought he needed to sport a spiky do. I think it's time for a hair cut, but daddy doesn't want to cut it... apparently he wants a hippy child?!? LOL

mother-son day!

My first Mother's Day card! They made this at Daycare. Connor's feet are extremely ticklish and he was NOT happy about them painting the bottom of his feet for the prints... as you can tell from his grumpy picture.I took Friday off to have a mother-son fun day together!
Connor found a new toy... it doesn't have wheels but it slides around on the carpet! woooo faster mom! I think Jason and I are in trouble... neither of us can handle any kind of carnival rides and Connor seems to LOVE that kind of stuff. Hmm I might have to convince uncle John into taking him on some rides when he gets older. =)
Yeah, the sun has finally arrived! It's still a bit chilly in the 60's, but we had to get outside and enjoy some of that vitamin D!
My gosh he's getting so big! I can't believe how quickly the time goes by. Jason pointed out that Connor is almost HALF as tall as I am already... WOW! Although that's not saying much when your mom is only 5'0... LOL
