First day of school

 Kaiden's first day of 7th grade!  Connor is taking full running start from EWU this year (no high school classes at all).  EWU doesn't start until 9-23 so Connor still has 4 weeks of summer break left!  Kaiden still insists that he wants to join the military (he wants Army) after school and he wants to be a sniper.  Connor still wants to be an Engineer of some kind.  He's leaning towards a Mechanical Engineer.  Last 2 pictures are from a recent evening ride to the local track ... Ocean Shores (4)

 We spent a few hours on Wednesday on the Quinault beach.  There were a bunch of dead crabs washed up on shore that Piper was interested in, but scared of.  Afterwards we met Dave and Carolyn at Bennett's Fish Shack for lunch.  Then back to Sue's place.  She had some more friends stop by for the night- Stacy and Cat.  They made clam chowder and sour dough bread for dinner.  Then we played some card games while the kids played.  Kaiden had a blast playing with the other kids.  We left early Thursday morning for a 7 hour drive home.

Ocean Shores (3)

More visiting with family...  Tuesday Jason, Connor, Kaiden, Jon, Jon's brother Ron, Jon's son Andrew and Jon's grandson Thyer drove to West Port and took a charter boat out fishing.  They caught King salmon, Coho salmon and rock fish.  My boys came back with 52 pounds of fish- 27 pounds salmon and 25 pound rock fish.  While they were gone we decorated the house for Ayla's 6th birthday.  Jon's son Andrew, his wife, his 3 kids- Thyer, Ayla and Ashton, along with his wife's sister stayed the night. We also went out to dinner at Dugan's Pizza and met Jon's brother Ron's daughter and her husband and their 2 kids.
