Nala and Chloe eagerly waiting to greet the newest member of the family. They were both very excited to see him... they both love kids and babies and they're very gentle dogs! Chloe (the lab) just sits and stares at him with her tail wagging like crazy.

At 7:30 pm on 7-16 my water broke. We arrived at the hospital around 8:30 pm. They hooked me up to machines and verified I was in labor and the doctor came in to visit with us and began prepping me for my c-section surgery and he was born at 11:09 pm! He weighed 5 pounds 3 ounces and was 18.5 inches long. He scored great on his newborn tests.

Well, we had our growth ultra sound this morning and he's growing! He gained 1 pound 2 ounces in the last 2 weeks and now weighs 5 pounds 3 ounces! Yeah! The doctor was really happy with his progress so they are leaving him in the oven until the 24th now. I figure he should weigh around 6 1/2 pounds by then, which is about what I expected him to weigh at delivery since my brother and I were both around 6 pounds. I'm just soooo thrilled that he's growing and healthy and I won't be bringing home a 4 pound little fry now!
This could be the last belly pictures we take... our Dr. apt is at 8:30am and we find out if our little guy is going to be coming into the world on 7-11 or waiting 2 more weeks for 7-24!
We had our 12th ultra sound today. Here are some of the 4D pictures that we got. 
This is his kissy picture... he's puckering his lips together. And of course his hand/arm/leg something is right up next to his face, as always.
Here he's trying to hide his face again with his hand/arm. The ultra sound tech kept tapping my belly trying to get him to move his arm so we could get a full look at his face, but I guess he inherited Jason and my stubbornness because he refused to move. So... Jason put his head next to my belly and started talking to him. Every time Jason talks or sings to him he moves around like crazy! And it worked this time too! Only look at the pictures following this... he did move his arm, but he made an awful grumpy face. Apparently he was comfortable and sleeping and daddy disturbed him. HA HA HA 
You can't tell from the picture, but he was raising and lowering his eye brows and kept puckering his lips and opening his mouth. He was doing his practice breathing and you could see the fluid going in and out of his nose. 
I go back in 2 weeks for another growth ultra sound. He only weighs 4 lb. 1 oz. right now, so he's only gaining half of the weight that he's suppose to be gaining. If he's still not gaining much weight in 2 weeks, then they are doing my c-section that day (July 11th). If he is gaining weight though, then they are pushing my c-section date back to July 24th to give him some extra time to put on more weight. His heart, lungs, organs all look good and he's very healthy... just really small. The doctor said smaller babies have a harder time maintaining their body temperatures and sometimes have a harder time eating. So, hopefully he will start gaining some more weight and can stay in there for another month!
4 weeks, 3 days left to go!!! I'm scheduled to have a c-section on July 15th at 9:45 am.
