So, we decided to bring my scrap booking table and sewing machine down to the basement. The idea is that maybe I can get a little bit of fun stuff done while Little C is either napping or playing. We'll see how much "free time" I actually get though.
Little C seems to think my desk chair is a new play toy for him. He climbs up (with a little help) and waits to be spun around. As soon as I stop spinning him he quickly signs MORE! MORE! MORE!As soon as he realizes he's won and mom is going to spin him again he assumes the position and grabs onto both arm rests for handles. I don't spin him fast, but even the slow spinning makes me dizzy. Although it must not have the same effect on him because he could spin all day long. Silly kid loves anything that resembles a carnival ride.
And this is what it looks like when the ride is over... when his signing MORE! MORE! MORE! doesn't result in more spinning he resorts to the crocodile tears. Lucky for us the tears don't last long and he's easily distracted.

Spin me more please!

Random Monday
I made Connor and Ryan matching monkey tag blankies. I think Connor is actually too old for tag blankies now, but Ryan is the perfect age, so hopefully he likes it as much as Connor did at that age.Little C has quiet the tool collection. He loves his tools too! It's pretty common to find him carrying around either his hammer or screw driver (those are his favorites).
His collection of bouncy balls. He loves to play ball, whether it's rolling a ball back and forth or bouncing it up and down or kicking it with his feet.
I made homemade chilli-mac for lunch, which little C just LOVES! He starts off using his spoon like a little gentleman...
and then the spoon gets tossed to the side and he digs in with his hands
Yummy! Connor approved =)
We love his new little toy shelf from John and Laura. Thanks guys! Now all the toys in "Connor's Man Cave" (aka the basement) have a spot.
Just for fun the last time Jason had to travel for work I made this sign and hung it on the wall
going down to the basement. Both my boys get such a kick out of this and they both have to hit the sign on their way down the stairs. Since they enjoy it so much and the basement is Connor's domain... I think I'm going to eventually get a wood sign made to hang instead of this paper sign.

Goodbye Aunt Pat
My beloved aunt Pat passed away November 1st. She was such a sweet, caring person. She will be greatly missed! The funeral was today. Here's uncle John playing with little C at the reception.Ryan and Connor
Grandma and Ryan
Staci and Shawn
Ahhh what a cute family. Laura, John and Ryan
We stopped by Grandma and Grandpa's on the way home.
Grandpa with his two boys ... Harry and Buster
The highlight of Connor's day- loving on Spaz! He absolutely LOVES cats. Every time he see's a cat he gets all excited. And Spaz is an exceptionally easy going cat. He actually seemed to be enjoying Connor's mauling. He purred the entire time and never once tried to get away... even when Connor was laying on top of him. Of course Spaz weighs 26 lbs and Connor weighs 20 lbs. He's such a good kitty! I keep trying to talk Jason into letting us get a kitty for Connor, but he's not a fan of the litter box. On a side note- if Spaz's eye's look funny it's because he's blind in one eye. He was abandoned as a kitten and left to die. My parents rescued him and with the help of their local vet nursed him back to health, but he had such a horrible infection that he lost the use of one eye.

For Staci
Just for you aunt Staci... since you asked. Here's some pictures of little C from today. We love you auntie! =)Little C's favorite corner.. the book corner! Picking out that perfect book.
such a serious face... deep into reading
Another one of his favorite toys. Jon and Vicki gave this to little C. It actually hooks onto 3 different books and plays music/sounds according to the book, but Connor likes to just carry it around and push the buttons for random music/sounds. He loves to dance now, which is actually kinda funny since we've never shown him how to dance so he figured it out on his own. At 15 months he's already a better dancer than mom and dad! I need to get a video to post of it. He gets his arms swinging and bends his knees and actually dances around. He's pretty good!

Happy Halloween
Family photo. We only went trick or treating to a few houses on our block. It was pretty windy all day so we opted to keep our little dragon inside. Our next door neighbors, Jon and Vicki invited us over. Their grandson, Max was visiting with his mom, Wei Wei. Connor is 3 months younger than Max. Their so cute together and Max is such a sweetie!
The little leopard and dragon checking out their glow rings.
The boys helping hand out candy... or maybe their protecting Vicki from the ghosts and goblins?!? =)
Jon and Vicki gave us some Bat Droppings... and I have to say this is some GOOD candy! The empty box says it all =) Thanks Jon and Vicki!
After playing with Max we headed to the school for their Halloween carnival. Connor had fun playing some games.
Then it was home to play with his puppies.
And hand out candy with Dad. Last year we counted over 200 trick or treaters! This year I bought tons of candy and we weren't home for most of the trick or treaters...
My little dragon playing in our candy bowl. He's not familiar with candy yet, but he likes the crinkly wrappers. And then all too soon it was bed time. Mom and dad got to relax for the rest of the evening and watch movies- Batman and Oceans 11. We hope you all had a wonderful Halloween too!

we've been "booed"
We got our first snow fall of the season today! Just enough to leave a thin layer of white powder on the ground, which it's since all melted away. Hopefully the news is right and we get a mild winter this year. I'm not hopeful though since we're already seeing snow this early in the year.
Last night our house got 'booed'. The door bell rang and when I opened the door a cute Halloween basket was sitting there filled with all sorts of fun toys and candy! The note attached says- You've been Booed! The air is cool, it's time for fall. Soon Halloween will come to all. Ghosts and goblins, spooks galore, Tricky witches at your door. The spooks are after things to do, In fact a spook brought this to you! The treats that came with this short note are your to keep, enjoy them both. The excitement comes when friends like you, will copy it & make it two. We'll all have smiles upon our faces, no one will know who Booed our places! Just be sure that you don't tell, keep it secret, hide it well. Please join the fun, the seasons here. Just spread these "boo's" & Halloween cheer.
So, today Connor and I went shopping to make 2 more Boo baskets to surprise more people. I love our neighborhood! What an adorable, sweet surprise! I still don't know who "booed" us, but Connor sure loves the book and game we found inside. Jason must have liked the candy too, since it's gone already.
flu season
It's flu season! Connor and I caught it last week. He's completely fine now, but I still have a lingering cough that just won't seem to go away. We went for a walk around Finch Park with the Trantum this last weekend. It was a great day to get outside. There was a wedding party there taking pictures, along with a bunch of photographers taking senior pictures. Finch is beautiful park for pictures. Jason lucked out. He was in South Dakota last week, so he missed our flu bug. He got to check out the drive through zoo there. Sounds like it's a pretty neat place.
Ryan came over for a visit. He had the flu bug the same time Connor and I did. Poor little guy. He's rolling over now and sure likes to suck on his hands.
This was just so cute. Ryan loves to swing and Connor was having so much fun pushing the swing for him. Connor's such a good cousin. He's so gentle and nice to little Ryan. =)
Cuddle time with my boys! Every time Ryan comes over to visit I have to get in some snuggle time with him and Connor gets a little bit jealous. So, I end up with two adorable little boys to snuggle with!
Two pea's in a pod! Chloe's such a good dog. She puts up with Connor crawling all over her, sitting on her back (as he is in this picture), playing with her ears/tail/anything he can get ahold of, and of course all the bear hugs. Their best buds.
