Batman

Na na na na na na na na BATMAN!
Our original plan was that Connor was going to be Spiderman, Jason Batman and I was going to be Cat woman.  Connor calls the shots though... after all Halloween is for him.  A month before Halloween he changed the plan.  He decided HE was going to be Batman, Jason Robin (the side kick) and I was still Cat woman.  A nervous mom and dad searched everywhere for a size 4T Batman costume, which apparently was a hot item this year.  Luckily we found one!

Since everything was selling out so fast.. when I saw this Bat Girl mask I grabbed it.  But it wasn't really the Cat woman costume I was going for... so it went back.

Ryan sleepover

Ryan came for another sleepover.  His dad (my brother, John) and Laura both work nights at the hospital.  So, when their schedules match up and they have to work on the same night... Ryan gets to come have fun with us!  Connor and Ryan are best friends (and cousins), so they love spending time together.

Who wants jello jigglers?  I do!  I do!
playing with the whinny the pooh tree house
Ryan loves to play dress up.. his favorite is the dragon costume.  "Grrrrr.."
Connor wasn't thrilled to pose for a picture in his Fireman's costume.  His buddy Ryan is here.. no time to stop and pose!

After playing for a while in their costumes... of course they had to switch and try each others costume on.
Cutest musicians ever!  Instruments and singing!

Craft time!  Connor painted a kitty cat piggy bank and Ryan chose a bear piggy bank.

They wanted to paint a picture when the piggy banks were done
Then they inspected the scare crow that Jason and Connor had made earlier in the day.  The boys weren't too sure about the spooky looking pumpkin head, so Jason took the green light out to show the boys it wasn't scary.
The finished piggy banks.  Connor's on the left, Ryan's on the right.

The boys got to each pick out two glow sticks to take to bed.  Connor likes to put a glow stick next to his bed some times for a night light.  I'm not exactly sure what they are doing in this picture.. yoga?
Thanks for the sleepover party Captain Hook!

Green Bluff

We met the Trantum's for our traditional trip to Green Bluff farms to pick out our pumpkins.

But first we stopped to fill our tummies with some fresh pumpkin donuts and warm coffee.
Followed by some jumping and bouncing on this huge trampoline.

A race through the hay bail maze.  Connor peaking over the top to see where his buddy Jakob is.
There's my handsome boy
and now he's gone.  He spotted Jakob through this hole in the bails and dove through.
A ride on the barrel train

Then we hit the corn maze... which even with a map we managed to get lost and had to cut through the corn stalks to get out.
My two favorite Charette boys

There's my goofy guys!
Time to trudge through the pumpkin field.  Connor thought this was the perfect pumpkin for carving.  I said he could pick any pumpkin he wanted, but he had to lift it into the cart himself.  He decided this wasn't the perfect pumpkin after all and kept searching.  A few minutes later he found another "perfect" pumpkin.  It was still a little heavy for him to lift, but at least it weighed less than I do, so I could lift it!
Our traditional family picture in the pumpkin patch

We went to Red Robin for lunch
Connor was so tired he couldn't hold his head up.  Spending the entire morning running, jumping and bouncing with two older boys will do that.  We had a great time!
