Skiing 3rd time

Connor's 3rd ski lesson at 49 degrees north!  He's doing great and loves to ski!!  Jason and I got a chance to test out our new ski gear.  Connor's lesson comes with rental already, so he'll have to wait until next time to try out his new gear.

After his 2 hour lesson we took a lunch break before heading back out for more skiing.

I can't believe how fast Connor is on ski's!  Not only is he super fast, but he's also really good at turning, snow plowing, stopping....  geesh!  I had a hard time trying to ski in front of him so I could get pictures and video from the front.  This kid is fast!  Goofy kid... every time I would get close to being in front of him he would say "Hi Mom, bye Mom" and away he would go.

After skiing we went back to Grandma and Grandpa's.  Kaiden had fun playing all day and sung us all a song with his microphone.  He loved playing with Grandma and Grandpa.. and Polly!  He loves Polly.

When we got home Kaiden pooped in his little potty for the first time!  Yeah!  Great job little buddy!

basketball

Connor decided to play basketball again this year.  His team name is "Bobcats."

Kaiden has a new "cheese" face... which looks more like a snarly growl face?!?

dentist time

First up... the experienced Big Brother

Up next.. the "new to dental cleanings" little brother

Both kids did great and no cavities!  Kaiden actually did a great job holding still and opening up for the cleaning.  I held his head just to make sure he didn't jerk and get poked while they were cleaning, but I probably didn't even need to hold him since he didn't try to move or flinch.

Connor's second time skiing

We spent the night at my parents house and left early in the morning for Connor's second ski lesson at 49 degrees North.  Grandma watched Kaiden for the day.  Connor had his lesson from 10-12, then we grabbed some lunch and the 3 of us skied 4 runs down the bunny hill from 1-3.  We had a great day skiing!

Jason and I got a chance to get 4 runs in while Connor was doing his lesson.  The sun was shining bright, the sky was clear... beside being a bit chilly it was perfect.  Luckily Jason had 3 head socks, so we all stayed nice and cozy warm.

Connor's FIRST time going down the ski hill!!!  His practice lessons are done between chair 2 and 3 on just a slight grade with a tow rope between.  The above picture is Connor hitching a ride between dad's legs from his lesson to chair 3 (bunny hill).
We were so impressed with Connor's skiing!  He did amazing!  He turns great, knows how to snow plow and can come to a stop without falling.  He did fantastic!  And best of all he loves doing it.  The following day we bought Connor his own set of boots, ski's, and poles.  Of course they had to be orange, his favorite color.  I also got a pair of boots and poles.  Now that Connor is in love with skiing we all need to buy the gear so we can go more often!
