Miller wedding

Matt and Jeni's wedding.  They got married in Kettle Falls way up in the hills.  John was one of the groomsmen.  They sky's were gray all day, but it didn't start to rain until right after the ceremony and then the sky's opened up and it poured.  Everyone ran for the tables and covered tents.  We waited around for about 45 minutes for the reception, but nobody was announcing what was going on... and it was cold and rainy.  So, my parents and us left.

right as the ceremony was starting Kaiden decided he didn't want to sit and be quiet.  I love Jason's "Uh-Oh" look. Luckily, Kaiden hopped off dad's lap, ran over to Alivia, who was sitting 2 seats over from me, sat on her lap and was quiet and content for the entire ceremony!  score!

After we left the wedding we drove into Colville and stopped at a Mexican restaurant for dinner.  Since today is Connor's actual birthday we had them sing Happy Birthday to him.  They brought him a sombrero to wear and a desert too.  He loved it!

Longview

For the 4th of July this year we drove over to Longview/Kelso to spend it with Jason's family.  On Friday me and the boys took the car to get an oil change and walked to the Mobius Science Center, which moved locations and this was their grand opening.  We had to wait an hour in line outside, but they did have an ice cream truck there.  The boys had fun, but I was not impressed.  The new location has less square footage, a very open square layout and less science centers.  They currently have a body's exhibit in the middle of the building, which cost extra and is walled off with black drapes.  Connor refused to see the body's exhibit, so I'll have to go back to review that with a friend.  Jason worked Friday and we left once he got home.

This was really the only new and impressive part of the center... you make bubbles out of dry ice.  Of course you have to wear gloves to handle the bubbles and they shrink in size until they pop.

Connor and Kaiden helped Sue decorate the Head Start bus for the parade.  Sue is the director of Head Start now!

The boys wore the new shirts they made before we left.  We checked out the fun activities at the lake.

Jason, Connor, Sue, Jon and Frann.  We relaxed and listened to Jon's dad and his uncle play country music.  How fun would that be to play in a band with your brother!

Lucky Connor, since his birthday is next week he got some birthday presents while we were visiting.
Below is Kayla (Jon's daughter), Jon, Lauren and Sue.  We were cracking up over some goofy phone apps.

Connor building a new lego creation.
So, the morning of the parade Connor went with Aunt Sue to hand out candy in the parade.  Jason, me and Kaiden were going to pick up Jason's mom to take her to the parade, but she wasn't feeling up to it.  By the time we found a parking spot and ran to the parade it had already started.  Jason thought for sure we had missed Sue and Connor and was so mad.  For the next 15 minutes all I heard was how I ruined the entire trip because we missed seeing Connor handing out candy in the parade.  Of course it's completely my fault... and of course we missed them.  After Mr. Grumpy pants settled down from his tantrum... guess what here comes Sue and Connor!  We didn't miss them.  In fact we only missed the very beginning of the parade.  The parade loops around, so as soon as they were past us we ran down a few blocks to sit with Jason's brother, Mark and Stephani and watch them go by again.  Ha!  Ha!  Take that Jason... we saw them TWICE!

We decided to relax around a camp fire in Sue's backyard and watch the fireworks all around us instead of fighting the crowds at the lake.   Below is Jason's "your flash is too bright" look.  Sorry buddy the pictures don't turn out in darkness without a flash.

snuggles with Grandma Charette before we headed home.  Of course she sent the boys each home with 2 new stuffed animals.

Double rainbow on the way home!  The boys did great on the drive there and back.  Snuggling their new stuffed animals and watching a movie on the laptop.  Aside for Jason's little tantrum at the parade, we had a great trip!  Lots of fun.
