Covid 19 Shut down

Life as we know it came to a slow stop.  Due to the Covid 19 Corona Virus we have had to social distance.  Most everything is shut down.  No going to the park, play ground, all schools shut down for the year, most people working from home...
Our new routine is that we wake up, get breakfast, Jason works on his computer in the office, Connor does his homework on the computer in his room, I sit at the table and work with Kaiden on his homework for 1 hour.  Then we break for lunch.  The boys spend the rest of the day playing.  Jason and I spend the rest of the day working on house projects.  I went to Costco right after they announced the lock down (not to hoard stuff like other American's, but because it was my normal Costco run).  Check out how empty the bread isle was.  The first 2+ weeks of lock down it was impossible to find toilet paper, soap, any kind of mask and bread products.  Luckily I had just bought a big pack of TP from Costco a few weeks before this started, so we're good for a while.

Connor finally got his bite plate removed.  So glad that's over.  It caused horrible breath.  You can't brush under the bite plate, so I had to get prescription mouth wash in order to kill the germs under the bite plate.

Connor's 5th grade school music performance

They had a patriotic theme this year.  All the kids had speaking lines mixed with songs.

Harry Potter mania

I bought the boys each a Harry Potter wand.  They light up, make sounds and have 5 different spell training/game modes.  The boys love them.  I had planned on using them along with our Hogwarts beanies when we visit the San Juan Islands.  Orcas has a Harry Potter themed escape room.

Jason tried to find his own wand.. LOL

Kaiden's book

Kaiden decided he wanted to write his own book.  We started his book, ran some errands which included a stop at the park to play while Connor read his book in the car.  Connor is a reading maniac now!  He loves to read.  It's amazing how much the tutor helped him.. and continues to help him improve.

Aliens are not real. I have a book about aliens.  Aliens are green.  Zombies are not real.
Wet wipes can not be green.  We laughed about this one.  A very important lesson- wet wipes can not be green.
Our families favorite past time lately- chess.  Kaiden is amazingly good!  Connor is extremely good.  He plays chess with his friend Tien at school when they have indoor recess.

I have been working a lot of extra shifts.  I normally work 3pm-11:30pm, but I've been staying until 3:30am to pick up an extra 4 hours.  Then go to bed at 4:30am and go back to work again at 3:00pm.  It's rough, but extra money for vacation is nice.  I woke up to find Jason had torn my car apart.  For Christmas this year he got me a touch screen stereo and back up camera.  I originally didn't want them, but since we plan on giving this car to Connor in a few years it would be nice to have the back up camera and navigation for him to use.  Anyway, Jason installed the stereo today before I got up and the camera the following day before I got up.

Monster Truck show!  Kaiden loves the monster trucks.  Kaiden's favorite is Megaldon (shark).  Connor's favorite was Grave Digger.  Mine was Earth Shaker.

hockey

We met Paul, Stephani and Paul's brother for a hockey game.  But first we went out to dinner.  The spot we planned on going ended up being overbooked... our second choice was also full, but then we found this lobster sandwich place.  Odd factory type setting, but food was okay.
