Kaiden's 4-wheeler

 The boys had a sleep over at our house with Raheem and Landry. I love how well these boys get along. They always ask to sleep in the playroom (basement) when they stay over.

Kaiden said he really wants a 4-wheeler for Christmas.  We sold Connor's and mine a while ago. Connor had a 2-stroke which stunk.  I loved mine, but Jason didn't think it had enough power.  So, currently we just have Jason's left, which we use for plowing snow. We have been looking for a used quad for Kaiden, but couldn't find any.  We were literally just about to buy one bran new and the following day Jason found this one for sale.  It's a 2019 110cc.  It did need a few small repairs, which Jason fixed.  Kaiden was so excited.

 Piper spends the first part of the night cuddled up to Connor and the second half of the night cuddled up to Kaiden. Once in a while she sleeps in our bedroom next to the bed, but for the most part she keeps a close eye on the boys.

Kaiden, Landry and Isaiah had a tea party outside with Oreo cookies and chocolate milk. We even had Paw Patrol napkins and party blowers. 

I bought Kaiden some new educational games to help learn his sight words.

Fred the fat frog.  Actually I found out he's a toad and not a frog.  We have had him for over 2 months now.   My brother bought 30 acres of land by Blue Creek, just past where my parents live in Chewelah. I never imagined in a million years he would want to live out in the country, but apparently he does.  We spend the day helping him to clean up the land.  Jason and John both had chain saws to cut down the dead trees.  Poor guys had so much trouble getting the chains to stay on the saws.  Seems like at any given time one was chopping down a tree while the other was fixing his chain saw.  Laura and I put the branches in a big pile.  Connor, Kaiden and Ryan were so excited to see each other.  Ryan has been dreaming about building a fort on their mountain, so the 3 of them explored and then built a little fort together.  Afterwards we stopped by my parents house to visit, clean up and have some pizza for dinner.

Riverside State Park bike ride

We went for a 1 mile bike ride at Riverside State Park.  Since Connor went through a huge growth spur this summer and we're the same size... we shared my mountain bike.  We keep searching for a bike for him, but unfortunately it's the wrong time to be looking and we can't find him one.  Kaiden did great riding his bike.  Not only is he a fast rider, but he's doing jumps, standing up while peddling, turning sharp... he's a pro!

Frog Hollow

 Well, we are down to only 1 frog- Fred.  We've had him since August 3rd.  He's now eating extra small live crickets, which I have to buy for him almost weekly.  We decided to make one last trip to Frog Hollow before Fall/Winter.  The boys had planned on getting 2 more frogs to bring home, but there wasn't a single frog to be found. No crawdad's either. But Piper did find a little field mouse.  Piper was just curious and playing with the mouse, but the boys stopped her.  Then they stood guard to protect the mouse while it recovered.  Eventually it scurried away. Jason tried to catch a fish.  We saw some huge fish swimming, but no luck catching anything. Kaiden played in the sand. Connor read his book on the boat. Then Connor and I stretched out to relax on the boat for a while.
