We haven't gone to the Spokane Fair for several years now. We checked out all the animals, crafts, booths. Saw the Pig races and Flying Fools High Dive show. Connor tried a strawberry funnel cake. Kaiden did the Mutton Bustin'. We had fun. Then a few days later Kaiden went back a second time with his best buddies- Landry and Isaiah.
Kaiden and I had some game time. We just got Kaiden an electric motorcycle, which he LOVES! It only runs for about 30 minutes on a charge, but it's sooo quiet. He rides it up and down our street and you can't even hear him at all. Another game night with the Morris's. We had them over for dinner and Catch Phrase. I made homemade chicken pot pie, pina coladas and fresh chocolate chip cookies. Odd combo, but everyone loved it. Tim doesn't usually drink, but he loved the pina coladas. And the cookies! The boys all spent the night. I helped make a fort for Kaiden, Landry and Isaiah to sleep under. They loved it. The big boys- Connor and Raheem slept on the couches.
We spent the day at Silverwood. We started with Boulder Beach water park and played in the lazy river and wave pool. Kaiden loves the wave pool. This year they only offered a few tubes for the lazy river. So if you wanted a tube you had to pay to rent it. We chose to just swim and walk instead. The boys probably had more fun swimming and playing tag than they would have in a tube anyway. Jason talked Connor into going down 2 water slides. Then we met the Morris's at the rides. Raheem talked Connor into going on a roller coaster and tricked him into doing the hardest one- Stunt Pilot. Connor said he was a little freaked out, but at the same time kinda intrigued. He actually considered trying another coaster, but in the end decided to wait unit next time. Kaiden went on a bunch of rides with Landry and Isaiah. The 3 of them are best buddies. After rides the Morris's went to the water park and we watched the magic show. They always have the best magic show, but the main magician was on vacation so there was a new guy doing some magic tricks and he wasn't nearly as good. The show was still fun though. They also limited the bleacher seating and added a bar which I wasn't fond of. Now everyone in the bleachers is ordering food and you have people walking by during the magic show to deliver food. Very annoying. We did order a pizza and eat during the show too though. We ended with the train ride, which they expanded and it was pretty cool.
We went over to play games with Channing and Aedan. We played a Monster card game, Uno attack and another game.
