Steamboat Rock

 Kevin joined us camping.  We played a lot of games- both board games and outdoor games.  We went for a couple little hikes.  One hike to a play ground with a stop at the local campsite store for some ice cream treats.  We took the boat out exploring and the boys (Jason, Kaiden and Alex) went tubing.  One of the nights we enjoyed a movie with popcorn.  We all had a fun, relaxing week at Steamboat Rock! Side note- Connor drove the entire way to Steamboat and back home from Steamboat, which is about a 2 hour drive each way.

 We spent a week camping at Steamboat Rock campground. We took Alex with us. Before we left my good friend, Olesya brought me some beautiful flowers, cookies and goodies for my birthday.  Kaiden and Alex spent the majority of their days on the beach playing in the sand, swimming, kayaking or racing down the paved hill on their crazy karts. They both slept in a tent for the entire camping trip too. I didn't think they would be brave enough to sleep outside in a tent alone, but I was wrong. Connor is really into his current book series and spent several hours every day reading. Connor and I also played a few board games together, including Battle Ship. We had a doe wander through our campsite a few different times and a little girl in a campsite next to us fed her apples out of her hand. 

ATV

 Jason, Connor, Kaiden, Alex and I took the ATV's to the track again.  I started on the red 4-wheeler and switched to the motorcycle.  Kaiden rode both his electric motorcycle and the red 4-wheeler.  All 3 boys are getting way more comfortable riding.  They ride way faster now.  Connor was having a blast (usually he only rides for a short time before he's ready to be done.  This was the fastest and most fun I've seen him have with the 4-wheeler).  Fun evening ride!

Krista's surprise 50th birthday party

 Jason decided to throw me a surprise party for my 50th.  I actually figured out the surprise prior to the party.  He rented out the back private area at Flat Stick Pub.  We had a fun inactive screen for all kinds of games. The kids played golf, soccer, football, mini golf, etc.  My parents came, Tim-Alex-Isaiah-Tristan, Mikaela-Brian-Alex, Paul-Stephani-Lana, Emily-Chad-Kasen and then of course Jason-me-Connor-Kaiden. Small, but fun group!  Jason and Connor are now the same height.  In the family picture Jason is on his tippy toes to be taller.

Kaiden's 5th grade band and choir performance

 Kaiden took percussion this year- drums, bells (Xylophone) and triangle. They met 2 days a week before school for practice.  He also took Vocalaires (Choir) which met 1 day a week before school.  The school performance started with the band concert (5th grade only) followed by the vocalaires choir concert (3rd - 5th graders).
