Soccer

We flew back from vacation on Monday and soccer practise started on Tuesday!  Connor's soccer team decided on the name Silver Sharks.  The age group is 7 and 8 year old, although it's mostly 8 year olds on his team.  Connor is one of the smallest and youngest kids on the team, but that doesn't stop him from keeping up.  The head coach is our friend Tony Durbin (his boys are the twins- Marcus and Braden).  Jason is helping coach too, but didn't want to take the lead coach spot since he's still traveling for work.

My ANM (charge nurse) is moving to Boston.  He gave us all this cute little box filled with goodies to remember him by.  We'll miss you Ricardo Borgos.

fly home

Day 8: fly home
We left mid morning to fly to Denver, where we had a several hour layover.  We decided to spend the time relaxing in the Red Carpet Club.  They had TV's, relaxing chairs, internet connections, snacks, drinks... Connor spent his time snacking and watching Dinosaur King and movies on the ipad.  Kaiden lounged in the chairs.  Jason and I watched politics on the TV.
below is a picture of the fish that Kaiden loved to see in the lobby of our hotel every morning.  He would watch the fish swim around as he ate his breakfast.  They had the nicest lady working in the lobby every morning that greeted us too.  She loved Kaiden and he would light up every morning when she greeted us.

Mission Beach, Pacific Ocean

After the dinosaur museum we ate sandwiches in the car and headed for Mission Beach to play in the Pacific Ocean.  The water was freezing cold, although Connor did end up wading in up to his waist collecting shells.  The boys played in the sand, collected shells and we walked down the beach for quiet a while.  Jason even got a chance to sit and relax on the beach while I ran around with the boys.  We were there all afternoon and then went to Joe's Crab Shack for dinner.   Then bath at the hotel before popcorn and bedtime.

Dinosaurs

Day 7: Dinosaur Museum and Mission Beach
We spent the morning at the Balboa Park, Reuben H Fleet Science Center checking out dinosaur bones!  Connor was super excited about it.  They had a Magic School Bus show with Miss Frizzle, which Connor loved!  They also had a 3D ocean show, which Connor and Jason watched while Kaiden and I played in the lobby.  I got to see the first 10 minutes of the show before Kaiden decided he needed to move around and play.  Connor debated between a blue stuffed dinosaur and a 2 headed snake for his toy.  Jason and I voted for the blue dinosaur, but Connor decided on the 2 headed snake instead.
