For Ryan's birthday this year he had a party at Jump-n-Bounce. I had to work, so I dropped Kaiden off at daycare and dropped Connor off at Ryan's house. Connor had a blast at the party and Jason picked him up after work. I wish I could have gone and taken pictures of all the smiles and fun. I asked what he wanted for his birthday gift and his only request was a stuffed animal kitty. So, I figured what could be more fun than having a second party at build-a-bear and creating his own special stuffed animal. I made sure they had kitty stuffed animals to choose from first. Connor was so excited about going to make his own animal too. The boys got to choose anything they wanted... It took Ryan about 2 seconds to locate and choose this super soft calico kitty. Connor looked at each and every one before deciding on the "How to Train Your Dragon" two headed Barf and Belch dragon. Next up they had to pick a sound to put in their animals. Ryan chose the giggle sound. Connor wanted the roar, but they were out. The lady said we could come back in a week when they had more and she could perform a gentle surgery to insert the sound then. Connor was happy with this idea. Next they got to pick a smell to put inside their animal. After smelling every scent available... and there were tons... Ryan chose a sweet smell. I think it might have been a fruit smell... I can't remember for sure. Connor decided to skip the smells. Then they got to help insert the stuffing into their animals and test it out to see when it was full enough. And finally they got the hearts that go inside their animals and did a silly song and dance with the hearts before they were inserted and the lady stitched up the animals. Lastly the boys gave their animals a good scrub and brush down at the air-washing station before naming their animals and printing birth certificates for them. The boys loved it! When I went to pay for them I found out the dragon Connor picked out was on sale- you could get a second dragon for just $8 more. Score! So, Connor picked out the Storm Fly dragon to take with us. We decided to bring it back to be stuffed when his roar sound came in. John and Laura had some shopping to do in the mall, so while the boys made their animals with me, John and Laura took Kaiden with them shopping. When he's a little older I'll bring him into build-a-bear to create his own animal too. He has tons of stuffed animals right now and the only ones he really likes are his two bunnies.
Afterward the boys ran around the play center for a while.
