Coeur d' Alene

C and I took Lauren to Coeur d' Alene Idaho for the day.

 While Lauren worked on her tan... C and I went to play at the Ft. Sherman Playground.

 Then we took a stroll on the board walk.

 We walked around to check out some of the fun shops.

 And ended the day with some swimming!  Once the pool gets shaded in the evening the water gets chilly... as you can tell from the look on J's face as he plunges into the water.

Waterfront beach

Lauren, C and I spent the day at the Waterfront Park beach.  The water is really clean since they don't allow any motorized boats on the water.  Although it doesn't look clean in this picture... there were so many kids running in and out of the water stirring up the sand.

 C found a friend to play on the beach with.  They made a river leading from the beach to the water.

4th of July

the Trantum's joined us for some fun.  The boys: C, Zach and Jakob swam in the pool with Lauren for a while.

We had a fun 4th of July.  Thanks for joining us Trantum's!

C and I started July 3rd off with breakfast pool side in our cozy robes.  J and Lauren joined us when they woke up later.

 Then it was time for a dip in the pool.  C with his "muscle man" built in flotation swim suit.

 testing out the new pool.  Since we had just added the water the day before it was still freezing cold, but C kept asking to go swimming.... he only got wet up to his knees before he called it quits for the day.

Manito Park with the Kortus's

C and I met my brother and his family at Manito Park for some summer fun.

 John with their huge mountain dog, Sam.  C is petting Sam in the middle of two other kids who thought Sam was a fun, cuddly dog too.  She may not look mellow in this picture, but she really is.  You can also see John's "glove-shoes" as one kid at the park called them.

 We had a great visit with the Kortus family and as always the Manito park was very entertaining.

 Before we left C and I had to check out the Rose garden

 On the way back to the car we stopped to listen to the live concert in the park.  Union Street was the band and Kevin Schibel was singing his folk/rock.

 Last stop was the duck pond.  A sure sign that C is ready for bed... he plays with his hair and twists it around his fingers.
