Snow

It snowed again last night and this time we got some good packing snow....

Connor gave the new snow a taste... according to him it's good.
Connor and I set out to build a snowman.  Apparently Connor is more of a foreman though because he directed me on what to do, while he sat back and watched.  I rolled 3 large snow balls and then waited for Jason to stack them.  Then the boys decorated the snowman.  He has swim goggles for eyes, a bungee cord for a mouth, hat, scarf and milk jug caps for buttons.

Cookies

Ryan came for another sleepover.
More dress up
after dinner the boys made sugar cookies.  Except I couldn't find my amazing sugar cookie recipe, so I used one I found on the Internet and it turned out way too sticky.  I had to add flour so they could cut out shapes, which ruined the taste.   Oh well, the boys had fun and they didn't seem to mind that the cookies tasted more like biscuits.

Jason introduced Ryan to "the fist of fury."  Which is Jason using his fist to tickle.  Ryan laughed so hard.
Then the boys tackled Jason for a wresting match.  Ryan wrestles like Connor.  He squares himself up, puts his head down, arms in and then just charges.

breakfast Charette style.  Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day.  I make a fresh warm breakfast (usually) every weekend for my boys.  I like to make Connor's breakfast fun.  Waffle face with spiky peanut butter hair, chocolate nutella cheeks, raspberry eyes, craisin mouth and strawberry shirt.
After breakfast Jason and Ryan played with some balls.  Connor decided he needed some quiet time with his Tag books.

mobius

If you ask Connor what he's going to be when he grows up his response is "I'm going to be a doctor and make people better.  My mom is going to be a nurse and we're going to work together.  But not my dad, he fixes computers."

He's already practicing... He didn't specify what kind of doctor he wanted to be.  Mr. Connor Charette, practicing Chiropractor.
What could be better on a rainy day than a trip to Mobius.  I had an appointment to get an oil change, tire rotation and flush some engine fluids... and since Mobius is just a few blocks away from Toyota we decided to walk there.

Mom and son tea party fire side.  Connor set up the entire table and chairs while I fixed our peanut butter sandwiches and hot cocoa.
Mmmm peanut butter
Our first snow fall of the year was November 8.

Halloween

The Dark Knight Rises... Batman!
Connor got to wear his costume to school and have fun with all the other ghosts and goblins.  Ironically there are two Connor's in his class and they both came as Batman.  I forgot to grab my camera on the way to school, so no pictures.

After school we dressed up again for some more fun!  I took my Bat Girl mask back and got a Cat Woman mask instead.  Much better!  Batman and Cat Woman.

Our crime fighting super family... Robin, Batman and Cat Woman

We trick-or-treated around the block and then Connor said he was ready to head home and hand out candy instead.  Every year he's had more fun answering the door, giving out candy and talking into the walkie talkie that we put in the scare crows pocket, than going door to door to collect his own candy.  He's such a compassionate sweet heart.. he would rather give than receive.  I think he enjoys seeing all the costumes.
Go Super Hero Charette's!

pumpkins

Pumpkin carving!

Connor decided to turn his pumpkin into a Mr. Potato head with a goofy face on both sides.
Family pumpkin carving.  Yes, I'm wearing my comfy, cozy pajama bottoms.  We saved the seeds and I baked them for a tasty treat.
Connor picked the patterns, which matched our costume theme... Batman!
Jason carved the bat on both outside pumpkins.  The three smaller pumpkins to the left are the one's we picked at the Green Bluff farms.  The pumpkin to the right Grandpa Kortus grew for Connor!  Jason attached the pumpkin bat cut out to the top with skewers.  I etched the word Batman and we put a fake candle inside the pumpkin and on the top.  We got lots of complements on Halloween night for this one.  The second pumpkin is Connor's creation.  I added some squiggly lines down the sides, so we could see it light up (although you can't tell from this picture).  The third pumpkin was mine.  Connor chose a picture of batman's head and I did my best.

mobius

A few weeks ago Jason and Connor checked out the new Mobius Kids Science Center.  We have a membership to the kids Mobius (ages 0-7).  The new Mobius Science Center is geared more towards ages 7+.   Connor loves it though, so we might have to renew our membership with the Science Center instead next year.

Checking out the animals
I'm not sure who had more fun.. Connor or Jason!  Connecting a circuit to make the light go on.
building up pressure to shoot bottles up the tubes
creating a wind current to spin windmills
using brain waves to move an object... Connor won!  He has more brain waves than Jason.  LOL
